of Jesus the Christ — also rules out certain writings which we have considered «Scripture», this is not to profane the

Furthermore, Thomas assures us that the
principles of this
sacred science are more certain than any human science, since they derive their certitude from the light
of divine truth, not from the insight
of a particular theologian.
The Establishment Clause thus stands as an expression
of principle on the part
of the Founders
of our Const.itution that religion is too personal, too
sacred, too holy, to permit its «unhallowed perversion» by a civil magistrate.»
