However, the employment tribunal had considered that Mrs Pendleton held a
belief that her marriage vows had been made before God and were therefore
sacrosanct, and that the Respondents had applied a policy of dismissing those who chose not to end a relationship with a person who had been convicted of child related sexual offences.
