I took my cooler of watermelon to
the sad little group and started passing it out... their frowns turned into smiles, they started laughing and spitting out seeds, teasing eachother about the juice dribbling down their faces and just like that... the day got a little better for them.

People seem to like to be part of a
group and to label the other
group as bad It is a
little sad.
I'm actually a
little sad to be posting this challenge, because it is the very last one: participation in the Daring Kitchen has been on the decline for the past few years, so the
group is shutting down and it's time to move on.
It makes me
sad that we have bow to the wishes of every
little niche
group that might get offended over any perceived slight, no matter what anyone else might think.
There is
little sadder as a rescuer than to see a huge divide between good people who just want a pet, and responsible rescue
groups who just want good homes for their pets, and realise that what is keeping them apart are dark narratives built on suspicion and anger.
