The Hamilton Beach intellitime slow cooker is intriguing but I want to know if it is safe to use, meaning — one is not supposed to start with frozen food since bringing it up to
a safe cooking temp takes a long time which exposes the food to possible ideal conditions for nasty things to grow.
Not exact matches
Grill veggies and meat on high heat until
cooked to
safe temps (145 degrees steak and 165 degrees chicken internal
temps... and don't overcook your steak!)
I refer to BBQ,
cooking at 225 - 250 °F as «Hot Smoking» and the meat is brought to a
safe temp (140 °F) in a proper amount of time so curing isn't necessary.
Slow
cookers don't reliably get frozen meat up to a
safe temp evenly enough or quickly enough and the meat will likely spend too much time in the «temperature danger zone» which is when bacteria grows.
