That being
said Halo Wars DE looks amazing.
That's not to
say Halo Wars 2 isn't good on Xbox One; it's simply inferior.
I will continue to
say Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare was the right decision from the get - go.
I have to
say Halo Wars DE is still the same awesome experience Halo Wars fans and RTS fans remember.
Not exact matches
There are so many games i've played it would take a long time to type it but i will
say my favorite series are
Halo, Gears of
War, Mass Effect, God of
War, Dragon Age, Saints Row, and Battlefield.
This year it's been
Halo Wars 2, Injustice 2, Sonic Mania, and Titanfall 2 keeping me occupied (the latter I have to
say is absolutely sublime and think should get far more recognition for its well balanced gameplay, compelling action, and inventive single - player campaign).
However, it would be fair to
say the console identity of
Halo Wars 2 runs deeper than the actual control scheme and layout of the menu systems.
As I
said, Microsoft has no plans to shiv their own disaster in the back which means Fable 3, Gears of
War,
Halo 2, Microsoft Flight, Shadowrun, Tinker and Viva Pinata will work at reduced capacity or experience difficulty.
Used to start out with Call of Duty but, with that contract ending and going to Sony it starts with Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries taking the stage to talk about
Halo, goes to Battlefield now, Microsofts turn to show Assassin's Creed this year, they go on to two more third - party games, then Phil Spencer comes on stage to announce everything from that point on will be Xbox and Windows 10 exclusive kicked off with Turn 10 and their next Forza title, then they'll show their next Fable game, Chris Charla will then be on stage to talk about [email protected] they'll show some Hololens stuff, talk about Xbox Live and will finish off with The Coalitions new IP, hopefully, otherwise it'll be Gears of
War 5 to close it out and then Phil Spencer will come on stage and
say: «We've shown you today that we have the best in class first - party developers working on exclusive games for the most power console ever, we've shown you we have support from third - party developers which have chosen to showcase their games for the most powerful console.
As part of today's statement, the studio
said that «the leadership team» will form a new development house, and has already entered into an agreement with Microsoft to continue supporting
Halo Wars post-launch, «as well as work on other projects with Microsoft Game Studios.»

Halo Wars sold 250,000 copies DAY ONE just for those of you LOL at MS thinking they could out do Sony's big gun when HWs release date was announced.
and the last thing is a nightmare for everyone who just wants to ignore those achievements... you
said that people who don't like them should just ignore them... well play e.g Gears of
War 3 or
Halo Reach..
the og xbox was awesome and had about 10 decent exclusives each year, the 360 started pretty strong but like others have
said the last 3 years there was hardly anything other than
halo reach, forza horizon and gears of
war 3.
They
said that they're working on a deal with some ES employees to work indefinetly on
Halo Wars support.
That sucks but Ensemble will live on since in the post it
said the leadership team are going to create a new studio and they are making a deal to work on
Halo Wars after launch.
But due to the fact that they have been hyping it to oblivion (like
halo 5's campaign) before it came out and ended up being controversial because they didn't deliver... just like the order 1886... but you don't see people going around spreading excuses
saying that people hate it because it's on ps4... they just weren't so good games... simple as that... If you want a console
war take a ps4 and an Xbox one and start smacking them with one another and the one that works after that is the winner....
343 Industries» handling of
Halo over the last five years has been uneven to
say the least, and now all eyes are on The Coalition to prove that it has what it takes to re-establish Gears Of
War as one of the best third - person shooters in the business.

Halo Wars] as a foundation from which [we were able] to evolve and improve, while taking into account how games had changed since the release,»

Halo Wars 2 doesn't have the complexity of,
say, something like a Total
War, or even Command & Conquer.

All of this is to
say that The Creative Assembly doesn't seem to be bringing enough of its pedigree to
Halo Wars 2.
That's not to
say the Xbox One is devoid of great first party games — titles such as Gears of
War 4,
Halo 5, Forza Horizon 3 and Sunset Overdrive are all major standouts.
it's cool to like the game system you like but to
say wii u won't sell this Christmas is not smart plus even if they don't do all that well this holiday do you think when mario kart which I must
say sold 34 million that's right 34 million on wii (sold more than all
halos combined and gods of
wars) when that comes out its gonna move units as well as smash bros... nintendo has an ace always because they have high selling first party characters that will always sell units if needed..
Then again, 343 Industries has already
said Halo 6 won't be at E3, and Gears of
War 4 was just released.
Games like
Halo and Gears of
War will not be playable on the new model, but head of Xbox Phil Spencer
says there are some unexpected benefits.
Microsoft started strongly with
Halo 3, Gears of
War and Dead Rising in its platform - exclusive ranks, and while Sony did have Resistance: Fall Of Man and Uncharted up its sleeve, you wouldn't
say it had the edge in the early days.
That
said, as first party we will continue to invest in the creation of great console exclusives like Gears of
War 4, ReCore,
Halo Wars 2 and similar titles.
The event is
said to focus on many of the major franchises that Microsoft currently owns; such as
Halo, Gears of
War, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and more.
I dare
say Microsoft is going to replicate the success of its predecessor in 2009 once again with
Halo Wars 2.
Now it's needless to
say, but
Halo Wars crushed the genre and revolutionized what RTSs can do on console.
With the celebration of
Halo «s 15th anniversary, development on the upcoming
Halo Wars 2 approaching completion as it nears its early 2017 launch, and the possibility of more
Halo 5: Guardians DLC to come, it goes without
saying that 2016 has been quite a big year for 343 Industries.
