Definitely use unsalted if you like sprinkling sea
salt over your caramels.
Since this makes a 9 × 13 pan, I would sprinkle half a teaspoon of sea
salt over the caramel layer and see how you like them; the next time, you might want to add more!

I made this tonight and used it for the
Salted Caramel Cream cheese buttercream that you used
over chocolate cupcakes.
Made this sauce
over the weekend for your
Salted Caramel Rice Krispies treats with dark chocolate (which were a HUGE hit).
And if you have left
overs, which you probably won't, you could use them to make this
Salted Caramel Apple Smoothie!
Then Tash drizzled her
salted caramel sauce
over the table as I arranged the bought
salted caramel pots.
I love the combination of salty and sweet and that's when I started getting crazy
over salted caramel sauce.
A drizzle of
salted caramel sauce
over the top.
To assemble, make the
salted caramel: place sugar and
salt in a heavy bottomed pan
over medium heat.
Meanwhile, make the
caramel sauce: combine butter,
salt, brown sugar and
salt in a medium saucepan; boil for 3 minutes
over med heat, stirring constantly.
But no matter what you do, I have to beg you: don't skip the
caramel because it will NOT make the biscotti too sweet, and don't skip the sea
salt, because it's just what you need here to lift up all those intoxicatingly flavors and put them
over the top.
Pour about a cup of
salted caramel sauce
over the top of cake before serving.
Drizzle / pour the hot
caramel sauce
over the cookie dough and sprinkle with sea
salt.
So I mixed the brown sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkled it
over the top and when the pudding cake was done and I scooped it into serving dishes, I sprinkled butterscotch chips
over the top and served with a small scoop of
salted caramel ice cream.
I also drizzled
over some of my homemade
salted caramel sauce of extra pizzaz, though any sauce is of course optional, if you're the sort who also hates stuff like sweet chilli sauce.
Make the
salted caramel: Spread out the sugar evening in the bottom of the skillet and place
over medium heat.

I have used it as a sauce
over my non-dairy speculoos cheesecake, and most recently to create a
salted caramel glaze for my apple pie bundt cake.
They actually use their brand of Toffee Nut syrup for the flavoring & then drizzle
caramel sauce
over the top & sprinkle with the sugar / smoked sea
salt.
I also used more than required
salted caramel and the left
over salted caramel I served as a sauce on top of the brownie which everyone enjoyed.
For the
salted caramel, stir sugar and 60 ml water in a saucepan
over medium - high heat until sugar dissolved.
You can do this recipe using any gluten free brownie mix, and then following the recipe to create a delicious
salted caramel sauce to drizzle
over top of the brownies.
Salted Caramel Sauce Makes 3/4 cup A perfect match for Double Chocolate Pancakes, this sauce is also amazing
over a scoop (or two) of vanilla ice cream.
