Grace used to be
the same about her naps and we used to go for long drives so I am hoping the next one is a little easier.

but now she wont take good
naps through out the day, she goes to bed at the
same time and
same dream feed but then she will get up at 2:30 am and then every hour after that until
about 6:30 when we are up for the day, what do I do and why is she getting up so much?
If her internal clock is set properly, she will get up, take
naps, and go to bed at

He was the
same way for
naps, but
about 2 weeks ago I went back to work, so the week before I worked with him on naptime so his grandmother wouldnt have to hold him all day during
nap time.
We used the
same method on her
naps, and she is now taking 2 regular
naps during the day, each
about an hour, and goes down without crying.
As far as
naps during the day somedays they will sleep at the
same times but usually they are
about an hour off.
For what it's worth, I do know another mom who has a daughter
about the
same age as mine and also happened to be a night owl toddler... And that transition between dropping the
nap and getting her daughter to bed earlier at night time was was not quite as quick as it was for my daughter.
After a week of really bad nights we decided to go back to co-sleeping fully, but with the cot by the bed at the
same level, so I would follow the
same technique as daytime
naps, getting her to sleep and then rolling away, with
about the
same rate of success.
Just as toddlers don't all learn to walk at the
same time, kids don't give up the need for
naps at the
same time — so it's impossible to make broad generalizations
about nap needs based on age.
The great thing
about that book is that it talked
about nap schedules and how to look for the signals in your children
about when they're tired and how to work that into their days so that you can be flexible with what your child needs and that's really hard when you have three at the
same time but it made us able to come up with a way to have a daily schedule that allowed for having
naps and we were really strict
about you know, we have to do
naps.
11 am - Baby down for
nap, start on folding laundry 1120 am - Putting away laundry 1130 am - Preparing a grilled cheese sandwich and vegetable bean soup 12Noon - Mom eating lunch, Baby beginning to stir 1215 pm - Start dishes and wipe all surfaces, while Mom cuddles Baby 1230 pm - Mom feeds Baby, I sit with her and we talk
about her family's excitement, how to manage visits 1 pm - Mom upstairs to
nap, I burp, change and soothe Baby back to sleep 120 pm - Finish folding laundry and put away dry dishes 2 pm - Swiffer the kitchen and dining room 230 pm - Straighten and organize baskets to use for mobile changing station and nursing items 245 pm - Mom awake from
nap, Baby wakes at
same time, to feed.
Same issues as above, but my son is almost 3, and he goes to bed
about 8 pm and wakes at 5 am with a 2 hour
nap miid day.
Try to get your baby up around the
same time every morning, and feed him and put him down for
naps at
about the
same times during the day.

What I like most
about the nuna mixx is that the seat becomes completely flat for a comfortable
nap (is there maybe another GOD stroller with this
same great feature), but it is also a little pricey, for that money maybe its worth it to get something that will last me a little longer.
The CBT used in this case combined cognitive therapy, such as teaching subjects to think
about sleep in a more constructive way, with strategies to improve their sleep habitsnamely getting out of bed at the
same time each day and eliminating
napping.
