In the seventies, if we wanted to know what was being made over the water, in that
same week, we often had to make do with
black and white grainy photocopied
images, so things have certainly improved since then, but the virtual
image is a poor substitute for the «real thing», itself already a re-presentation, an
image presented to the occipital lobe.
The way it works is straightforward: both rear cameras fire at the
same time, with one taking a regular color
image and the other taking only a
black -
and -
white snap.
You can't go crazy, but with these mini movies, you can now use the
same editing tools available for still
images to adjust exposure, color saturation,
black and white conversion
and other edits.
In this example, I used the
same images, but re-scanned them to
black and white.
