It's a play on the traditional French nail, only this look relies on one
color in two different finishes — matte and gloss (Suzi compared it to mixing different textures
of the
same color in an
outfit).
The pearl detailing was also a huge selling point, inspiring me to pair the
outfit with jewelry from my own Mehndi which includes pearls and deep purple (which kind
of happened to be in the
same color family as the blouse!)

I used to be so scared
of mixing denim, for fear
of that dreaded «NOT» label that some magazines used to put on the overly loose (or tight),
same color outfits of the past, but I think starting off with two completely different
colors is a perfect «gateway»
