In regard to Whitehead's introduction of God and
eternal objects to explain human freedom he says: «If explanatory
principles are available which could account for the sensation of freedom without at the
same time taking us beyond the bounds of the actual world, we should explore them, and, if they prove to be consistent with the facts, adopt them in preference» (ISP 246).
