To me, the real problem with this line
of thinking is that the very things that make
childbirth so safe that homebirth advocates think a healthy baby is guaranteed are the
SAME things that homebirth advocates think ruin their birth
experience.
This finding argues strongly that the
experience of hands - on parenting, with no female mother anywhere in the picture, can configure a caregiver's brain in the
same way that pregnancy and
childbirth do, Feldman says.
