Vino Vispo is an Italian sparkling wine on draught that is made from Glera -
the same grape variety that makes Prosecco
Made in the same way as Champagne (with a secondary fermentation inside the bottle to produce bubbles) and often with
the same grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), these crisp sparkling wines can be nearly as complex as Champagne — and are much less expensive.

Today most
grapes are of the French, Italian and Spanish
varieties, which is why United States wines are on the
same level quality-wise as these more commonly known French wines.
This was New Zealand's Babich, which earned a Master for its Headwaters Organic Chardonnay from Marlborough, and a Gold for a Pinot Noir under the
same label, proving that this region can produce first - rate results with organically grown
grapes, and, great wines with
varieties other than Sauvignon Blanc, which is, of course, the bread and butter for this New Zealand wine region.

same variety of
grape.
Kobayashi says the mutant gene is present in a wide
variety of white
grapes today, suggesting that they all share the
same heritage.
The most exotic and expensive
variety comes from Burgundy; however, you can enjoy the
same grape for much less if you look to the New World — Chile, New Zealand and South Africa.
