the same niche genre too close together.

When a
genre is firmly established, two things generally happen - you end up with your
niche fans who almost exclusively live and breathe said games, and you start to push out a lot of regular folk who are sick of seeing the
same thing over and over again.
We want to stick with the
same editing services but focus on
niche subject (s) or
genre (s).
Also, I think each of us blogging writers found our
niche and gravitated to bloggers who wrote in the
same genres we did.
With memoir (your
genre), I think it is a bit of a special
niche (like children's fiction) and so you may get a bit more for your marketing efforts targeting writers of memoir than you would other
genres, but the principle is still the
same.
Like Riddles, this week has reminded me why I love the
genre that got me to love gaming while at the
same time making me realize why it is such a
niche genre.
