I often cook the asparagus in the
oven, because I love the roasted flavor it gets in the
oven, but this
method of cooking it in the
same pan saves time and is good too.
The traditional
method for softening involves dipping the tortillas in hot oil, however, the
same result can be achieved by lightly moistening the tortillas with water, wrapping them in foil, and placing them in a 350 degree
oven for 10 minutes.
The
method stays the
same, although you may find the smaller seeds don't need as much time in the
oven.
And to be honest, I use this
same method in either the
oven or in the smoker (we love our Traeger).

same method as the Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe, where the chicken is coated with spices, browned in the pan, and then covered in sauce before baking in the
oven.
