Just because you and your BFF don't have
the same parenting styles, does it mean the friendship is over?
In a home where even young children are disciplined with punitive methods and are punished rather than connected with, they'll often grow up with many issues that wind up with them continuing
the same parenting style with their own kids.
However, as the mom of teenage boys I have found that some parents may not share
the same parenting style as you do therefore use your words very carefully.
It should be someone who either has
your same parenting style or has no preconceived parenting ideas or keeps her ideas completely to herself.
No two families will have
the same parenting style because we all have different needs and sensitivities.
If you can find a mom friend who has
the same parenting style as you — or at least very similar — then not only are you a great match as friends, but your kids will feel safe in her keeping.
My sisters & I use
the same parenting style as what our parents showed us.
There are many of us who has
the same parenting style.
