We took a look at three new formulas for active dogs made by
the same pet food manufacturer.

Most certainly, when reporting a
food or treat incident to a
manufacturer, a
pet owner will know if other recent incidents have been reported to the
same manufacturer.
However, when
pet owners send me their story, I find that there are often dozens of similar complaints (that I've heard of) with the
same pet food or
manufacturer.
Companies that make frozen and freeze - dried raw
pet foods are inspected the
same way that other
pet food manufacturers are inspected.
Raw diet
manufacturers are also required to comply with the exact
same AAFCO guidelines and the exact
same manufacturing standards as any other
pet food.
I have an even greater degree of sympathy for the challenges
pet food manufacturers face in securing affordable, healthful and safe ingredients from multiple sources from around the world, while at the
same time avoiding costly recalls and class action lawsuits when dogs and cats are sickened and even die from consuming their «Scientifically Formulated» and often «Veterinarian Approved» products.
It can not be defined, for example, with the
same clarity with which the FDA defines the term organic, making it clear to both human - and
pet -
food manufacturers exactly what can and can not be deemed organic.
Of course, many other raw
foods manufacturers are seeing the
same growth in
pet owner interest.
I'm sorry they told you such non-sense — we know that the chicken meal was purchased from Wilbur - Ellis, the
same company that provided BB and others with the melamine tainted wheat from China to many
pet food manufacturers during the 2007 recalls.
