Humans can only get the disease from being
bitten by the
same ticks that transmit it to dogs, not from the dog directly.
You might ask if they are spending time outdoors with their dogs, for example, and can mention that they are at risk for coming into contact with the
same exposed
ticks and should take appropriate steps to protect themselves and consult with their physician if they have been
bitten by a
tick or are feeling unwell.
It's not at all hard to imagine the advertising opportunities for a
bite - sized live streamed show happening twice every 24 hours at the
same exact time — all with a reliable stream of viewers that keeps
ticking upward with each passing day.
