Although Arkane has not said one way or another whether there will be future Dishonored games, Death of the Outsider puts a definitive bow on the events of the first two games, and serves as a fitting and
satisfying epilogue to the series.

It reads, not as a joyful climax, but as an
epilogue, or even more as an appendix, added perhaps to
satisfy questions being asked by the curious.
Only the unnecessary imposition of the third dimension and a forced
epilogue (mirroring the book) dampens the otherwise outstanding feature, in a suitably sweet and successfully spectacular end to the mostly
satisfying series.
