We finished them off with freshly squeezed lemon juice
for a
flavor pop and
additional moisture, but try topping them with a bit of hot
sauce as well.
In this pesto
sauce I used almonds instead of pine nuts as I usually would since I wanted to re-create the
flavors of Puglia, and then topped the pasta with some
additional chopped toasted almonds
for both texture and
flavor.
I like the smoke, and Ryan LOVES it, but the peppers and
additional sauce make
for a strong smoky
flavor.
