I was
saved through Faith in Christian who loved me, and everyone who would receive his gift, to die for us on the Cross for our sins.

Whether or not this is God's ideal for life, we live in a second best world, made first best by the grace that we receive through Christ: by grace are

They say that though we are
saved through faith alone, true saving faith results in good works.
In this view, Paul is saying, «For by grace you have been
saved through faith, and faith is not of yourselves, faith is the gift of God.»
So when you tell someone how to be saved, tell them first of all that they are
saved through faith.

saved through our faith (and he says as much) then why would he tell the Romans that it is «through baptism» that we die to our old life?

Reading this verse seems to say we are
saved when we believe and that once
saved we may which implies either to continue to believe or continue to live our lives for us though preferably it is best to follow Christ with all our heart because if we walk according to the flesh satan has the opportunity to destroy our lives
through the consequences of sin till we repent.Whereas if we walk in righteousness we are covered under the blood of Christ and protected from satans influence though he can oppress us he is on Gods leash as God is sovereign and in this way satan is used to perfect our
faith and draw us closer to Christ.
And it is only
through faith in Christ as the propitiation of your sins that you can be
saved.
