As predicted last week, this week's Japanese sales
saw Yokai Watch 2 breaking the 2 million sold mark after only a month of being on the market, proving just how crazy Japan is about this new series.
I had read Yokai Attack shortly before this title started, so it was really cool to
see the yokai in that book show up in this title as well, and know who / what they were.
Not exact matches
It'll be interesting to
see if these two games manage to reclaim spots near the top of the chart next week, as newcomers might slip faster than games that have a long - tail, as we've
seen with
Yokai Watch reclaiming spots in the chart for weeks now.
It wouldn't be surprising to
see Fatal Frame released on the Wii U in the West some time next year, as that is exactly the path that smaller niche titles like Fantasy Life, Bravely Default, and
Yokai Watch have taken on the Nintendo 3DS.
We rarely
see much of those who aren't affiliated with
yokai, so it was fun getting a glimpse of Natsume from someone else's angle.
The
yokai of the series spice things up a bit, but really, if you've read any manga about
yokai, you've
seen this all before.
Each week Neon Alley
sees exclusive dub episode world premieres of Tiger & Bunny, Blue Exorcist, Nura: Rise of the
Yokai Clan, and InuYasha: The Final Act.
