release's extras for further elucidation.

Tomboy, A Separation and Martha Marcy May Marlene, three of the best films in
cinemas in 2012, are not on my list because I
saw them in 2011 at The Sydney Film Festival and picked them as my favourite non-cinema
releases in my Best of 2011 list.
Over the years, many of those «expensive» films find there way into
cinemas but others don't — lost at sea to maybe never
see the light of day with only a fleeting DVD
release to showcase some upcoming talents.
So, if you left your house and headed to the
cinema last week you would've
seen that Pixar
released Cars 2 last week.
When I went to
see Gladiator on it's
release in 2000, I walked out the
cinema bitterly disappointed.

The highly - anticipated sequel - which will
see Tom Cruise reprise his role as fighter pilot Pete «Maverick» Mitchell - has signed Joseph Kosinski up as director and will be hitting
cinemas 33 years after the original movie was
released.

The last film Bruce Broughton worked on that was

cinemas was the 1998 big - screen retelling of Irwin Allen's tv show Lost in Space, with Gary Oldman, William Hurt and Matt le Blanc; sadly for Broughton, who surely
saw the movie as a way of gaining more exposure and therefore more work, it tanked and became as critically - lambasted as other event movies from the time like Batman and Robin and The Avengers.

I'm of the age where I can remember the original being
released and, although I was too young to
see it in the
cinema at the time, VHS meant it was ripe for repeat viewings and fully submerging yourself within its original portrayal of a dystopian future aligned with the majestic Vangelis soundtrack....
The rules are simple: films must have been
released publicly in
cinemas in the UK in 2017; no industry, festival or press screenings may be included; re-issues qualify but the writers must have

cinema in the last twelve months, regardless of its U.S, or U.K
release dates.
Sure it's an HBO
release so might never actually
see a big screen but the barriers between streaming and
cinema are so feeble nowadays that it's hard to really define a difference.
The deal, which will
see the movie
released on Netflix just 17 days after its theatrical debut, will result in traditional
cinema distribution in the US, Canada and China, but use the streaming service for international reach.
Lionsgate has revealed plans for Now You
See Me 3, despite Now You
See Me 2 not being
released in
cinemas until next year.
The CEO also said that production had finished on Now You
See Me: The Second Act, which will be
released in both US and UK
cinemas on June 10, 2016.
