or angel hair all work well) 8 ounces fresh green beans, with the ends trimmed 2 roasted red peppers, sliced (
or a small jar) Peanut Sauce (
see recipe below)
Choose vegetables that you
see from any dish on the menu and pair it with brown
rice,
pasta or quinoa along with a plant protein like a veggie burger, black beans, garbanzo beans, tofu, lentils
or even avocado.
NOTE: A ketogenic meal does not normally include any ordinary bread, potato,
rice,
pasta or standard breakfast cereal (although a MCT KD may include small measured amounts —
see below *).
And, when we look at the scale, we
see that all vegetables, fruits, intact whole grains (potatoes,
Pasta,
Rice, Barley, Yams, Corn, Hot Cereals) & all Beans, Peas, Lentils meet that criteria [of 800
or less].
