I'm 13, live in an upper middle -
class family, have good
grades in
school, and wan't to start planning out my future now.
And regardless of social
class, the stresses and distractions that afflict unemployed parents also afflict their kids, who are more likely to repeat a

school, and who on average earn less as adults.

And if Sis is like her friends, she will have logged l6, 000 hours of television by the time she graduates from high
school — more time than she will have spent in
classes from Kindergarten through l2th
grade.

school with teachers, subject matter, curriculum resources, age -
graded classes, supplies, equipment, classrooms and, if possible, a professional church educator has been the norm; for Roman Catholics, parochial
schools or some other form of catechetics.
