Schools mission is to provide motivated students with the opportunity to achieve academic
excellence in an accelerated, back - to - basics, safe learning environment
taught by caring, knowledgeable, and highly effective educators
in cooperation with supportive, involved parents.
Unfortunately, teacher compensation has not kept pace with increases
in salaries
in other sectors.38 According to a 2016 nationally representative survey of more than 3,000 teachers, nearly half of teachers would leave
teaching «as soon as possible» if they could find a higher - paying job.39 Furthermore, most teachers are not rewarded for working
in hard - to - staff
schools,
in shortage areas, or for their
excellence in the classroom.
