school leadership institute «Ready, Set, Go: Your Roadmap to Supporting Great Teaching» provides school leadership teams with answers to these important questions and offers a roadmap, processes and tools to support and accelerate great teaching.

This summer, Raise Your Hand Texas (RYHT)-- an education coalition composed of business and community leaders, parents, and tax payers dedicated to strengthening and improving Texas public
schools — sent 125 educators from throughout the state to four
leadership institutes at the Programs in Professional Education.
During this four - day
institute, you'll work with a cohort of emerging leaders to unpack common
leadership challenges, clarify your vision of an effective
school, establish your core values, and develop the foundational skills of an effective
school leader.

These included redesigning programs to align with NCATE's ambitious accreditation standards and closing programs that did not meet the standards; upgrading administrator licensing requirements for pre-service, induction, and ongoing learning; coordinating all in - service professional development for
school administrators through a state - level
leadership institute; and creating an innovative year - long, fully funded sabbatical program to train teachers for the principalship in programs that offer a full - year internship.
