Then why is it so hard to figure out what
your score is at any given time?

Nothing you could ever do to Giroud would ever make him come good just nothing. Its not a formation set up that gets a player to dribble,
score,
be world class,
be dependable, wow the crowd and the like. Its the players» own ability that makes him do that.Once you don't have it ya ain't gat it brother.Read my lips!!!!! Once ya don't have it ya ain't gat it.As simple as ABC.So I expect this to
be another de ja vu case and waste of
time if Giroud and Alexis
are paired.I
'm even shocked it
's coming from Henry. He should rather
be giving us more reasons why we need a new striker and why we would fail if we don't get the new striker.Forget Giroud
's stats for a moment and judge him by how he plays when you
are watching him.You would realize that
given the same chances
at Arsenal strikers who
are not even world class can do better.I want a new striker even if not world class and to
be honest its not necessarily a world class striker that wins you a league but just increases the chances of winning it.Peace!!!!

What has happened to the
times before when we hardly
gave a monkeys about these distorted stats, all of a sudden we
are looking
at stats that don't tell you anything that matters, the only stats we we

were; possession, goals
scored, shots made, clear cut chances, assists, corners, yellow cards, red cards.
Edmunds, too raw for me, 2 - 3 years from now he can
be great, until then I think he'll run hot and cold, too many
times at VA Tech where he made a bad decision that
gave up a
score.
This persuaded Wenger to
give him a first team chance back
at Arsenal, and despite some promising performances he rarely played or
scored and after complaining about lack of game
time he
was sent on loan again after six months to Villarreal, where he
scored just once in 15 appearances.
I strongly believe he should / will
be given another season
at least to show what he can do albeit in a different role to which he wants... he will have ro reinvent himself and learn to play and
score from the wings because to
be perfectly frank he had more than enough
time and games to show he can top strike for us when he first joined and Giroud
was out Injured and he
was less than impressive goals wise.....
I think the players know this and play with the handbrake on
at times because they
are worried about
giving the ball away and that
being the counter which they
score on.
Aston Villa had 5th defence in league before this match, and we trashed them, we need to
give credit to our players, many here can say Aston Villa did nt play
at all, but they
were simply inferior to our great squad, what i see
is, with this current set up, and tactics, we can defeat anyone, last
time we
scored 5
was 2 years ago, thats not coincidence!!!
This
is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it
's former self, only to
be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions
are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud
was playing and his ratio of
scored goals per clear chances
was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin
's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which
was obvious to Wenger because there
was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long,
gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't
score enough recently to justify): that
being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka
is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he
is way too reckless
at the wrong
times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let
's face it Wenger
was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this
was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he
's been played out of position far too many
times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team
's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player
was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who
are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would
be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense
given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will
give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that
is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there
is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he
's lack of mobility
is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would
be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other
was just sold to Juve... man, this
is theraputic because following this team
is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
this window has just finished i
am already thinking about who we will get for the january window we might try for khedira on a really low offer as he
is free agent almost would help boost numbers in midfield in the new year as we will no doubt need to filling the numbers about then also i will hold my hands up and say i
was wrong this morning for
giving wenger stick and saying welbeck
is rubbish i have
been out in the cold light of day and had a chance to reevaluate the situation and realized that this could
be a canny shrew transfer on wenger behalf actually if wenger can turn the clock back and work his magic on welbeck and get him
scoring goals and improve his game then we could have a great underrated signing on our hands its wengers absolute trust in him that might
be what makes him a great player as this
is something that he never had
at old mordor if anybody can make him a world beater wenger can he loves this little pet projects improving players against the odds welbeck has the skillset to
be high class player upfornt he just needs to work very hard on his finishing i think once he gets a few goals under his belt he will settle in fine and he
is a team player you could put him on the left against man city to shore up that side and he will put in a great shift without a complaint that could
be his biggest asset to us or on the right whenever we need him there ithinkwenger might start himon the left against city to protect the left back against navas and i bet you if he does a great job we will take a shine to him quickly i
am hopeing he will
be one of those wenger gems that he finds and polishes up to a high finish i must admit i
was annoyed as some other gunners
were at not signing d /
m and c / h but if wenger does win the league with this lot it will
be his greatest win yet and what might play in to our hands
is the unpredictable nature of the league in the last few seasons if we get on a good run
at the right
time we might
be hard to stop look
at city they should have never lost to stoke but the result
is there in black and white for all to see and i think chelsea will hit the skids after a while to just because cesc and costa
are doing well now thats there main threat but teams will work out how to stop them as the season goes on and chelsea will become predictable i think we might just do well this season after all
Out Sanchez — does nt want to
be there Ozil (maybe)-- just wants to win Walcot — not trusted by wenger should
be given more
time but does nt do anything whe
given a chance Giroud — good plan b but cannotlead the line for top club Debuchy — too moany does nt want to
be there Xaka — only thing he
is good
at is scoring long distance goals.
not sure if we all watch the same game but to me it
was more BORUSSIA settling with the
score that us having the game of a lifetime, quite frankly
at times we
were pretty disorganized, Per as usual
gave it away a few
times, Sanchez
was having a bad game till he
scored, OX also
gave it away more than few
times, RAMBO well the poor man he just can not find himself, Martinez one good stop
was not challenged much....
But I believe to play against better finisher
is not justification for you to lose the game.Kane
is not messi, or lewandoski, he rely heavily on service.why don't you prepare a team to cut supply for him, Kane
was ineffective
at emirates because he lacked service, bellerin awful, xaka, elneny, awful, they
gave much
time and space ericksen, son, dembele, Davies to find Kane.he got four or five chances he
scored one.if aubameyang got the same chances he would
score either..
Well im not in a wonderland he has his failings as we all do and great teams find a way to win good teams sit where we
are 6 -5-4 but thats besides the point and it would
be nice if your aunty had bolocks cause then we d
be second but ive watched the games
were an offensive team most the
time although
were terrible in the pissing rain but for the most part the game plans have worked weve created chances quality
scoring chances one after the other problem
is for me the finishing unless we sit back with 9 man behind the ball or ten when you push forward you will
give up a goal if you lousy forwards fail to finish the set ups have
been there this year but our strikers have failed to kill the games if we create quality chances and grab leads in the first 60 minutes like we have for the most part and in those games those games should of
been killed even if we
give a goal or two alongside the strategy but we failed to hit multiple should
be goals we tried laca we'll see abou auba although hes a bit lazy so far but we'll see but we've lacked that quality in front goal a player the chances have
been there im looking
at the failure of the strikers and maybe that
is his fault but monreal has
scored as many goals recently as our strikers and thats sad our defenders or a midfielder will
score and our stikers cant tally one in th first 60 mins of a game alongside them then
were tired for last 40
give them hope there still only down one and we rue our missed chances while they push thats where iv
been frustrated with this season not the tactics but the finishing
If I
was at RM I'd
score goals — it
's a 2 horse race every year, he
's surrounded by some of the best players in the world and unlike the PL half the Spanish teams
give up
at half
time when they
're losing.
Okay I
am sure I
was not the only one that thought Arsenal
was dead and buried
at half -
time, and when Liverpool
scored the second goal I
was ready to bury my head beneath the cushions, but I have to admit that I
was mesmerised by the way we fought back and proved that we never
give up even when we
are two goals behind.
Stats don't
give you all the details you need... For example: there
was a
time at that westham game that Ozil find himself in a better position to
score right inside the box with no defender maulding him but he decided to pass the ball down to Ramsey who
is outside the box... Sometimes Ozil find himself in a better position than the player he passes to... Stats will never bring that out... Ozil
is just another Hleb with creating chances and no goals... I even prefer Hleb cuz he
is a treat in every big games and a nightmare to defenders... Stop covering up Ozil and talk football the way it
is.
This
is very interesting.I look
at the number of striking options in our team and i wonder how Wenger will
be signing a cf.However as i keep saying a cf
is a need not a want.And needs
are more important than wants. We have needed a World class cf since Robin Van P. Left.Just look
at the feeling you get when you have a world class goalkeeper e.g Cech in the team. You feel relieved you know why?Its because the goalkeeper
is very reliable, very talented and consistent.Imagine the feeling you would have when having a world class cf in the team. You feel very relieved you know why?its because the cf
is very consistent,
is super talented, will
at most
times finish off chances and will mostly create moments of magic.Arsenal need a world class cf so as to have that sense of reliability and to not put too much pressure on the midfield to always create chances for them.We neeed that consistency infront of goal to excel.Right now arsenal's centre forwards
are very inconsistent, unreliable
at most
times and
are not very clinical. We need a world class striker so that
at least if the team
is not performing he can take control and do something out of nothing. You need to understand the benefits of having a world class cf its not just about goals or talent but about
being a leader of the attack, a strong
scoring mentality and also the will to
be consistent.World class cf's
give your attack the ish factor.
Despite the fleet footed Gunner showing some real class and
scoring two goals in the brief amount of
time that he
was given in San Marino on Saturday night, Roy Hodgson has decided not to
give the Gunner a go from the start for the Euro qualifier against Switzerland
at Wembley tonight.
I've had enough of this crap, look I honesty do think giroud
is a good striker and he
is a fairly consistant goal scorer, and every
time he played for arsenal he
gave 100 percent and I think we all appreciated the way he
was, a true professional, but to say we as fans
were too critical of him or that he didn't have enough of a chance
at arsenal
is just absolute bullshit, first of all he has
scored more headed goals than any other player in the prem since he arrived in 2012 so we did play to his strengths and he
was our main striker for four long years and every pundit on sky and motd has
at one point said Giroud
is not enough for arsenal to win the title ect, but, now we have sold him he
is apparently the best thing since sliced bread and the best buy of the transfer window blah blah fuc * # * g blah.
Everton came alive after they
scored which i think would have
been avoided in the first place if Giroud had
been the point man, Sanchez
was the point man
at he
time of the foul, he actually committed the foul from which the free kick
was given, then ozil allowing his attacker to continue his run unmolested RIDICULOUS.
In fact he
is odds - on with bookmakers to
score against us
at any
time in the game, and
given his previous record we can not
be surprised by that.
Look
at Spurs, Adebayor
is scoring and this
is someone who AVB did not
give any sort of game
time whatsoever.
Our game
was fucking horrible in the first half, i'll
give it to west ham tho, they tried to attack us and played well
at times, we
scored a good goal,
was definitely a good decision by the lino to keep his flag down as the rule states «Benefit of doubt must go to the attacking side».
well folks this season
is a big one for some of the arsenal under achievers like diaby, nasri, walcott, deneilson, vanpercy, all these players have had their setting in period now they must deliver after this season we will no who can cut it and who can't no more excuses walcott had a long rest lets see if he
is worth that tag world class that they like to
give every english player nasri, he had a good rest as well no excuses diaby more experience he better come good and deneilson had
been at arsenal two long to not produce and every bodies favorite mr vanpercy they say he
is world class he has a fantastic technique but you need more to
be world class i know he has had injury problems most
time and stats show he has not
scored a free kick in two years for arsenal this
is last chance for robin if he get injured sell make no sense but he most of all must play well and
score lots of goals he has
been at arsenal a long
time and must produce.............
It just winds me up when fans have a go
at the likes of Luis Boa Morte who
gave 110 % in every match, but
give credit to Nolan who seems to
be a ghost 99 % of every match, but uses his experience to get into the right places
at the right
times to
score a good amount of goals.
Maksim you
are 100 % percent right about Dan Petrescu's faith in youngsters. In just a few months he
gave chances to Ivan Solovyov, Pavel Solomatin and Vladimir Sobolev to play in the first team.As for Mogilevets i think he will become and excellent player but not
at Zenit. He needs to move elsewhere (and not on loan) to play first team football like Ionov did a few years ago.In my opoinion Zenit needs a striker (if they sell Hulk to AS Monaco) to
score goals.Kerzhakov
is not
at his best, Bukharov has forgotten when
was the last
time he
score and Dordevic
is not gonna get a chance.I understand that midfielders of Zenit
are all capable of
scoring goals like Shirokov, Danny, Witsel, Bystrov and Fayzulin but thats striker's job and Zenit may lose a player on the filed. And something else, i
was so impressed with Yuri Lodigin's performance against Krasnodar and maybe Zenit found a great replacement for Malafeev.
We
were still mightily relieved to reach half
time at 1 - 1 having
been second best throughout the half but things got even better for us in the second half when Gray
scored his and our second to
give us the lead, only the second
time we'd
been in front all season away from home; we'd previously led 1 - 0
at Spurs but went on to lose the game 2 - 1.
He would go on to
score in his next match against Aston Villa, but
was at fault in
giving Jamie Mackie too much space and
time, in the loss to QPR.

He
was his usual profligate self in front of goal and definitely should have
scored one, but that pressing from the front that he
gives provided Milan problems during the night and
at times forced them to go long and turn over the ball and for that you have to
be grateful that whilst Welbeck isn't a prolific finisher, he can have an impact on the way the team can have a go
at opponents.
