The hybrid
sculptural works on display — which combine elements from the natural world with mechanical parts such as wires, motors, strings, pulleys, hydraulics, and high tensile fabric — are powered by hand, plug - in electricity, and solar cells.

Besides approximately sixty paintings and five
sculptural works by Samorì, an exquisite selection of Baroque
works will be
on display that inspired the artist, including a large oil painting that was just recently attributed to Jusepe de Ribera.
With only few exceptions, the drawings
on display bear a direct relation to
sculptural or space - specific
works in the MMK collection.
Other
works on display include Richter's Pin - up and Installation drawings, the characteristic Ice Age - meets - cybernetics stick - figures of Penck, as well as
sculptural drawings by Lüpertz and Palermo, and a drawing and sketchbook by Polke satirising the «economic miracle» of post-war reconstruction in West Germany.

The exhibition features about 30
works and will be
on display in the Vivian & David Campbell Centre for Contemporary Art (Level 5) and in Walker Court, where Tino Sehgal's ephemeral Kiss (2002), a choreographed dance referencing
sculptural kisses from art history, will be exhibited alongside two of the
works that inspired it: Auguste Rodin's The Kiss and Constantin Brâncuşi's Kiss.
Open to both vessel - based and
