From Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12, 2015, prominent national and
international art dealers and galleries will exhibit painting,
sculpture, works on paper, photography, video, and installation
by modern and
contemporary artists at the sixth annual Dallas Art Fair located in the revitalized downtown Arts District.
The Botín Foundation's collection is focused primarily on
contemporary fine art and comprises paintings, drawings,
sculptures and installations
by renowned
international artists such as Miroslaw Balka, Tacita Dean, Carlos Garaicoa, Mona Hatoum, Joan Jonas, Jannis Kounellis, Julie Mehretu, Antoni Muntadas, Gabriel Orozco, and Juan Uslé, among others; pieces from the collection are usually showcased through thematic temporary exhibitions in the galleries on the upper floor of the west wing.
The museum's
contemporary art collection has nine canvases
by Cy Twombly and a monumental
sculpture by renowned
international artist Ai Weiwei.

Funds from the sale of this magnificent work will be used to realize Pace's vision and mandate to realize an arts campus in San Antonio, Texas, the home of the Foundation, that will have as its centerpiece a David Adjaye designed building to exhibit the Foundation's growing collection of over six hundred paintings,
sculptures, installation and video works
by international contemporary artists, and serve as a destination for contemplation and experience of adventurous artwork from the recent past.
The largest gift in EAM's history, these paintings,
sculptures, drawings, prints and video installations
by an
international group of
artists will be a significant addition to the collection, broadening the scope of the museum's holdings of
contemporary art.
In addition, LSG is dedicated to a
contemporary program that incorporates paintings, photography and
sculpture, as well as conceptual and multimedia art
by a growing roster of regional, national and
international artists, including Gino Miles, Thalen & Thalen, Chris Bracey, David Spiller, Jason Myers, Russell Young, David Kramer, Wayne Warren, Dale Enochs, Constance Edwards Scopelitis and William John Kennedy.
This fall, the Henry celebrates its ninetieth anniversary with the first museum - wide exhibition of the
contemporary collection, featuring over fifty artworks
by an
international roster of
artists, in media ranging from video installation to photography and from
sculpture to drawing.
The exhibition will feature
sculptures, drawings, paintings, video and prints
by several
contemporary artists currently working in California, as well as newly commissioned works
by Los Angeles - based
artist Andrew Schoultz, the Bay Area - based mural collective Precita Eyes Mural Collective, and the
international artist collective Futurefarmers, founded
by San Francisco
artist Amy Franceschini.
An exhibition within the fair, Focus: Beyond Territory will feature work from seven
international galleries including Marian Goodman Gallery, who will be exhibiting a major tree
sculpture by the Italian sculptor Giuseppe Penone — one of only two
artists who have received a
contemporary commission from the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
