A new paper by renowned
Swedish sea level expert Prof. Axel Mörmer published in the International Journal of Earth & Environmental Sciences dumps lots of cold water on the premise that today's sea level rise is caused by man and is unusual.
Morner is claiming the sea level isn't rising, and lots and lots of
other sea level experts disagree with him; take his statements seriously and rebut them; and present their own data and analyses of sea level rise.
But my point is that it is not the case that
sea level experts think the sea level isn't rising, and the IPCC is ignoring them.
Sea level experts point out that rising sea levels change the diameter of the earth and change its rotational speed in the same fashion that a figure skater slows a spin by extending the arms.
In Climate Hustle renowned
Swedish sea level expert and climatologist Nils - Axel Mörner concludes: «Geological facts are on one side, lobbying and models are on the other.»
Benjamin Hamlington,
a sea level expert at Old Dominion University, agreed.
This post from Real Climate (from 2013) is written by
a sea level expert, take it very seriously.
If you want to claim that science is on your side because
this sea level expert Morner says so, you should also explain why you discount the views of all of the other sea level experts.
