food as possible while our growing
season is in full force.

The Hester Street Fair is back for its third
season on Saturday *, with more rock - star
food vendors than ever, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. With more than a third of the market dedicated exclusively to
food — like classic HSF breakout stars Luke's Lobster and La Sonrisa, and newbies such as Pies «n Thighs and We Rub You — the fair is pretty
much the optimal outdoor eating event (and there are many).
As
much as I like to grow my own
food, and to support small local organic growers, my family and I still depend on the grocery store for many of the things we eat, especially in the off
season.
Even with out this, the app sure beats printing out a list of in -
season foods to cart with you to a farmer's market, spending way too
much time online figuring out what to do with the
food that is in
season, and getting frustrated that you can't keep straight which farmer's market is on which date.
Many agents volunteer their time or participate in holiday
food and toy drives, and we come together and adopt families who may be struggling and help support them for the holiday
season to make as
much of a difference as we can financially and emotionally.
