As the Easter
Season approaches, I will be
making a conscious effort to eat some great
food and seek out some great beers.
So as the
season prompts us to get back together around shared books and shared
food, I wanted to let you know about some resources that will
make your experience more immersive and interactive.
When my husband was a doctor, he'd notice an uptick in Emergency Room visits around Christmastime: the stress, dense
foods, and disrupted routines of the
season were literally
making people sick.
Atolli, a preparation of maize varying in consistence from gruel to mush, and used both as liquid or solid
food, was
made of corn, stripped of the husk, mashed, mixed with water, boiled down as required, and sweetened or
seasoned according to taste, with honey, chile, or saltpetre.
Seasonal produce tends to be much cheaper than imported, out of
season food, so it's worth being very conscious of this when you shop and
make your shopping lists.

season I wanted to
make a roasted potato salad that maintains elements of a classic mayonnaise style dish, except ditching the dairy and replacing it with a fun flavor - bomb dressing and subtle layers of texture.
I really enjoy getting creative with
food and
making it as creepy as possible in celebration of the changing
season.

season is here, I can start
making my favorite kind of finger
foods to eat during the big game.
I need to keep this one in mind for the upcoming SEC football
season — hubs is a UGA fan and I'm always looking for black and red
foods to
make for him!
I am like you itch to
make recipes with
food that is not in
season elsewhere and
make excuses about it on the blog haha.
So since we are at this in between stage of the year both in the weather and in
food, because as you know soon it will be all apples, then pumpkins, then... you get what I'm saying, I thought I would
make something that has no
season, a Butterscotch Walnut Cream Cheese Tart.
To
make the dressing I blended coconut flakes, sriracha powder
seasoning, hemp seeds (super
food), lightened coconut milk, and some
seasonings.
Made this salad for a family gathering today, and it was a hit among non - veg / plant - based
food eaters I
seasoned the quinoa with a bit of lemon juice and sea salt, and also added some toasted pepitas for crunch, and thin carrot strips for some pop of color.
With football
season coming to a close, it's time to start thinking about big game
food, and in my house that almost always means something
made with buffalo sauce.
I do have a really decent sourdough pizza crust going lately but given this dreary, cold, late winter
season, my own personal need for comfort
foods in the way of pancakes, and past history of pancakes
making quite the meal to share with others, this quick little bread - based meal is one I hope you get the time to
make.
