As you have probably noticed from my numerous Instagram posts, is that I've been
eating copious amounts of cherries over a 21 day period in
support of the
Seasonal Cherries 21 Day...
I am, however, passionate about
eating local,
eating seasonal, and
supporting North Carolina farmers.

support local farms, choose fresh /
seasonal ingredients, get off your tush and cook.
I agree with this comment, as well as with the others on industrial agriculture, though I do want to mention that there are small town, local and organic farmers out there who treat animals and the environment well — while I do not
support the dairy or egg industry, I love to see our friend Bob's hens running around wild, pecking at bugs, etc. and we will
eat those eggs, which are
seasonal because hens naturally lay more during certain times of the year.

Which of course doesn't negate the non-carbon aspects of the benefits of
eating as much local food as possible: Connection with your food producers,

supporting diverse agricultural systems, etc., etc..

support favorite holiday activities like shopping and
eating.
