After giving the writers years to rework that original script, America, with its newfound love of R - rated comedies, was finally ready to
see Superbad.

Since then I haven't been disappointed by anything that I've
seen of this lady including movies such as
Superbad, Crazy, Stupid, Love, Friends With Benefits and her latest, The Help (which I still need to
see).

Loath as I am to admit it, the off - putting conservatism of Apatow's Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, and
Superbad buys them staying power; I've now
seen Walk Hard's theatrical cut once and the Director's Cut twice (the second time with commentary activated), and the jokes keep all but evaporating on contact.
I tend to skip nearly all Adam Sandler, The Judd Apatow Collective and Will Farrell comedies (Even the ones directed by Adam McKay) anyway, although occasionally I catch something like Anchorman or The Wedding Singer) or
Superbad to
see what I'm not missing.

seen him play slight variations of the same archetype in Juno, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Paper Heart, Year One and, now, Youth in Revolt.

The casting continues an association between Sony Pictures Entertainment and the actress, who previously starred in
Superbad, The House Bunny, and Zombieland, all for Columbia Pictures; she may shortly be
seen in Screen Gems» hit comedy Easy A (UK RELEASE 22ND OCTOBER), and takes a cameo role in Screen Gems» upcoming Friends with Benefits.
Not only was
Superbad the funniest film I
saw this year but it also had the most heart.
In addition to a very funny cast (side note: I'm so, so happy to
see Jon Hamm doing more comedy), Keeping Up With The Joneses has
Superbad's Greg Motolla in the director's chair.
Stone has plenty to keep her busy anyway, with tennis tale Battle Of The Sexes waiting to shoot and a potential new TV project that would
see her reunite with
Superbad's Jonah Hill for director Cary Fukunaga.
It's simply irritating to
see him as a frat brother at this point and still doing
Superbad stuff.
Instead of being content with its position as the funniest movie I can remember
seeing,
Superbad has to go and turn in a loony coda, taking all kinds of shortcuts with character development, just so it can have its sentimental, significant ending.
Both Rogen and Franco will be
seen in the upcoming apocalyptic comedy «This Is The End» (opening in Cinemas June 14) which Rogen directed with collaborator, Evan Goldberg («The Pineapple Express», «
Superbad»).
Filling in the air time of this wacky premise are nonstop vulgarities (worse than
Superbad, pervasive drug use (not as bad as Half - Baked) and some of the most infantile attempts at humor not
seen since the misunderstood Freddy Got Fingered.
