It's pretty rare to
see a sequel live up to the greatness of the first film but Empire Strikes Back does that and more.

It's an interesting and unusual choice (which I didn't know about going in - in fact I actually thought this was going to be a conventional, full -
life biopic as I hadn't read much on the film beforehand), and at times I had the sense I was
seeing a
sequel to a movie I'd missed.

Most fans of the video game and first film reject this
sequel soundly, although the insatiably curious will probably find it interesting on a purely speculative level,
seeing more of the characters from the games and how they are «brought to
life» in a big screen manner.

At the film's recent press day, Carrey and Daniels talked about reprising their roles in the
sequel, how it was driven by fan demand, what it was like getting back into character and finding their chemistry again, the love between the characters, which one is Dumb and which one is Dumber, how the characters hold a special place in their
lives as they do for the fans, the return of the Mutt Cutts van and other callbacks from the original film, working with Kathleen Turner, their favorite scene, and where they
see their characters in another 20 years.
Against all odds, this
sequel, «Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan» (1982) would prove to be a critical and commercial hit and the scene in which Spock gives his
life to save the crew of the Enterprise would prove to be a devastating punch in the gut at the end of its hugely entertaining story — the power of Spock's final moments with his friend Kirk were such that even those who had never
seen «Star Trek» before were moved by it.

sequel as it jumps between the present, where Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is now pregnant with her first child, and we cut back to

In recent years we've
seen numerous delayed
sequels not
live up to the hype (Tron Legacy, Anchorman 2, Terminators 3, 4 and 5).
It's now unfairly
seen as one of his worst films, a title to be uttered amongst dreck like the ill - advised

Lives, not to mention Nothing But Trouble, Cops and Robbersons, and Man of the House.
I
see The Blair Witch Project as a masterpiece in horror filmmaking and honestly one of my favorite horror films of all time, and although I was never expecting this belated

While I wasn't really looking for a Prey

see Prey 2 in action at the Eurogamer Expo, although I've always assumed we were watching a video and not
