Following January's announcement of the timetable being set out for the LASPO review, the spring
saw sustained discussion about the impact of the
cuts to legal
aid.
As lawyers, in recent years we have
seen first hand the devastating impact of legal
aid cuts and vastly increased court fees on the ability of ordinary people, including our often vulnerable clients, to obtain justice.
October
saw the release of reports by Amnesty and the Trades Union Congress (TUC) on the impact of legal
