While we didn't get to
see dual lens camera setup of Xiaomi smartphones until recently the company seems to be making up for the lost time.

As a Christian, I believe it's important to
see this issue through the
dual lenses of both the responsibility of the state and of the church.
The Nexus 6 uses a unique
dual - tone flash ring around the 13MP
lens and has autofocus and OIS... it does not compete with the 16MP camera on the Galaxy S6 (
see description below).
The total resolution is 8 megapixels, with the ancillary

lenses, optical zooms, and other niceties of current rivals may end up hurting it on paper comparisons, at least.
Also around the outside of the device, you'll
see a
dual 13 - megapixel camera with a f / 1.85
lens and laser autofocus and a 8 - megapixel selfie camera with a f / 2.20
lens.
The Galaxy A8 has one other interesting feature, a
dual -
lens front camera that's supposed to offer users better selfies, complete with camera effects
seen on the Galaxy Note 8, which has a rear - facing

Image stabilisation is confined to the wide - angle
lens as with the iPhone 7 Plus, but the

lens camera advancements previously
seen in the Huawei P9.
At the rear, we expect to
see a
dual - camera setup utilizing
dual f / 1.6 aperture Leica branded
lenses.
Below the
dual camera
lenses, we
see a
dual - tone LED flash.
For one thing, you can
see that the S9 has a single -
lens camera configuration, while the S9 + is
dual -
lens.
We've already
seen a
dual - camera smartphone from Motorola with the Z2 Force, but, unlike the Z2 Force, the X4 features a secondary wide angle
lens, whereas the Z2 Force has a monochrome sensor.
Samsung Galaxy S9 + As noted above, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL sport a single 12 - MP
lens, but Google relies on software to pull off the same portrait effect you'll find on
dual -
lens phones and that we expect to
see in the S9 +.
The Galaxy S9's cameras have
seen significant improvement, and though the S9 still only comes with a single
lens, Samsung's
dual - sensor tech means that the one
lens can provide many of the cool tricks you'll find in
dual - camera systems.
Recently
seen on Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the work by
Dual OIS
lens was incredible.
The invite shared by PhoneArena suggests Huawei's upcoming P20 and P20 Plus smartphones will feature a triple
lens camera system on the back, instead of
dual cameras commonly
seen on most phones nowadays.
Apple might even introduce something like the
dual aperture system we've
seen in the Samsung Galaxy S9, giving keen mobile photographers two aperture choices for the price of one (that controls the amount of light that gets into the
lens, useful for shooting pictures in darker scenes).
It will be interesting to
see how Apple uses the
dual -
lens camera setup on the iPhone 7 Plus to further improve the imaging performance on the handset.
Huawei has the monochrome sensor, LG the wide - angle
lens, Apple the Portrait Lighting effects, but what does the Note 8's
dual camera deliver we haven't already
seen before?
However, players like Google are still invested in the single
lens camera, and we
saw this implementation in the Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2, with better effect than many of the
dual lens cameras.
The
dual lens system, in contrast, measures depth by looking at the difference in distance between what the wide - angle
lens sees and what the telephoto
sees, creating a multi-point depth map from that data.
Check around the back of both and you'll
see that the manufacturers eschewed the 2017 trend for
dual -
lenses.
The interesting part is how Xiaomi will implement the
dual lens setup and I am always psyched to
see new implementations of the
dual cameras.
Also visible in the photo is a
dual -
lens camera, as we've
seen on the LG G5 and V20, which was essentially an ultra-wide-angle
lens that gave photos a fish - eye effect.
Dual -
lens cameras are also still a novelty, although they are not without precedent —
see Huawei's P9 for example, and before that, the HTC One M8.
As you can
see in the image above, the iPhone 7 Plus / Pro case clearly shows the wider cutout for the
dual -
lens rear camera, which is expected to be among its main features.
With Honor 9, the focus is on
dual rear cameras which feature a combination of monochrome and RGB
lens like we
saw on the Huawei P9.
The Honor 7X is the follow - up to the Honor 6X, which launched last year, and it packs in the must - have features we love to
see in smartphones these days — a
dual -
lens camera, a full - display screen, a metal body, and a fantastic design.
Following the
dual camera trend we've
seen with just about every 2017 flagship so far, the Note 8 is the very first Samsung phone to offer a
dual configuration, and also the first smartphone to support Optical Image Stabilization in both
lenses.
We've
seen how important this has become thanks to the overwhelming number of midrange and flagship handsets that have gone the

It remains to be
seen, though, if the Galaxy S9 gets the same 2 x 12 - megapixel
dual pixel AF camera — f / 2.4 telephoto
lens, f / 1.7 wide - angle
lens dual camera system as the Galaxy Note 8 or if Samsung opts for a new setup.
We've
seen dual cameras before in devices, from the LG G5's wide and super-wide
lenses, to the Huawei P9's colour and monochrome sensors.
Google is still not offering
dual -
lens cameras, but as we've
seen from the Pixel and Pixel XL, you don't need to have a
dual -
lens camera phone to get the best photos.
A physical home button is positioned beneath the display of the Moto X4, incorporating a fingerprint sensor, while the rear
sees the signature batwing «M», as many Moto fans will now expect, along with a raised circular camera housing that features
dual -
lenses and a flash.
But since it'll match the U11, we may
see a unit that packs a 12MP
lens with a massive f / 1.7 aperture, PDAF,
dual - tone LED flash and maybe OIS will be thrown into the mix this time.
Towards the top of the handset, you can
see a vertically aligned
dual -
lens camera and a fingerprint sensor that sits below the rear flash.
As
seen with its predecessor, the upcoming Honor V9 will also come with
dual lens camera.
We've
seen many phones with
dual cameras, including Apple's iPhone 7 Plus, but none of them comes close to what the single -
lens setup on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL delivers in terms of quality photography.

see that US customers will finally get the chance to experience this fantastic camera setup.
At first glance, it looks as though the E5 Plus has
dual rear cameras, but upon closer inspection, you can
see one there is just one
lens and another cutout with a couple of small holes.
Not much is revealed during the teaser clip, save for a massive hint that the
dual lens cameras
seen in many a leaked image will be a main focus (pardon the pun).
That's why, on flagship phones, you'll often
see dual - camera setups that feature a wide - angle

But looking at what has already been leaked, we expect to
