It was nice to
see edible flowers incorporated into the dish.
I've been
seeing edible flowers in the Farmer's Market and haven't bought any because I don't quite know what to do with them.
Not exact matches
The
edible flowers you
see here are flor de kale morado, unlike many other other
edible flowers you might find they can stand up to a bit of cooking - it softens up their stems a bit and makes them a more pleasant texture to eat.
Above you can
see my version, which I made with almond butter instead of peanut butter (and decorated with
edible flowers), and it came out so rich and decadent.
My gut feeling, though, is that we will never again
see hills and valleys covered in the blaze of
flowering apple trees as they were when the export industry covered them with its
edible forests.
Everything you
see is
edible including the sugar
flowers and the chocolate Santa.
We will have to eventually in some form or fashion and one
sees sporadic attempts to rip up useless lawns and
flower beds to replace them by (now ultra chic)
edible gardens.
And add a few brightly coloured
edible flowers (maybe violets and nasturtiums for a nice colour mix) to a pretty
see - through glass plate.
