I would think we can at the least expect
seeing games that look 2x as visually impressive as the previous gen - when the system is pushed by talented
devs & publishers.

see devs are in the creative holiday spirit with their

devs are porting some of their old

see it, This does not mean that the
game will be made, but that there is a possbility that
devs will read it, if they need insparation.
So a TD
game you
see now may have been in the works since last October, and if there's a rush of them it's not necessarily because the
devs are all saying «me too!»
In other words there are more than twice as many eBooks than
games... I
saw one eBook
dev split up a book into three parts just to make it three apps...
If they are complaining about people abusing the system with their
games just imagine the higher stakes involved with AAA titles that depended heavily on pre-orders - a day before launch a AAA
game dev / publisher would boast the millions of pre-orders they received, the next morning could
see millions of refunds thanks to a
game - breaking, buggy launch.
I think most indie
devs who can't afford losing sales on their small length
games are probably going to stick to BUNDLES as we
see around, so the refund police doesn't go around.
We are
seeing Devs who never or made a
game for a Nintendo platform or haven't in decades now doing so, which no matter how you slice it, IS more support than many anticipated.
to say the truth from what I have
seen this gen I'm not expecting much because
gamers only care about graphic and the
game has no substance at best they should be renamed interactive movies because they are nothing but cutscenes and quick time events but anyway this upgraded console should at least let
devs create at least a few
games that's worth buying let's hope that next gen Sony and MS learnt their lesson
Pretty great to
see that even with all these
devs working on various graphics chips and gaming - related tech, they still have a love of just playing
games.
Both can do the same thing (
Game streaming or cloud computing) if they wanted.Why MS is trying it is because on like Sony they have the established infrastructure to attempt it and provide access to all
devs Sony don't as
seen from their purchase of Gaikai.
its nice to
see devs making
games run at 1080p but there is more they can do with the ps4 over the x1 as it is not just resolution that the ps4 is better than the x1 at it can do much more onscreen effects ect with no slow down i would like to
see devs taking advantage of this and not just giving us a higher res version of the same
game.
You
see things are constantly changing, we may all want gaming to remain static so we can play our
games the same way we did 10 years ago but manufacturers, publishers and
devs are going to continue pushing on the digital side due to the ever increasing economics of
game development costs, yet
gamers still pay $ 60 like last gen and continue to turn up their nose at any new IP that isn't trying technically outdo what's come before.
So far, there have been no
games announced that will take advantage of CryENGINE 3, but after
seeing it in action we can't wait to
see which
devs will jump on this.
Maybe a hybrid system where you can try a
game for 30 minutes for free to
see if there are major ergonomy issues in the feel of the
game that make it absolutely worthless to you, and then a 3 dollars extended tryout for 150 minutes, so that at least the
devs gets something for that time you spent on their
game (after all you still spent a couple hours on it), while the player does not have to commit the full $ 50.
Not surprised to
see the Rocksteady
dev say he likes Metroid Prime a lot, you can certainly
see the Metroid influence in the open ended nature of the Batman: Arkham
games (though some people say Asylum was more Metroid - like compared to the rest).
It'd be interesting to
see a KZSF
devs doing a PC / PS4 / X1
game or CryTek doing a PC only
game once more.
Neat to
see a
dev on the
game discussing that aspect years later.
While the Kickstarter hasn't happened yet, we can clearly
see the
devs have an interest in bringing the
game to Switch.

games, there is new ip and gears and may be possibly anew ip now i get it why MS victoria and big park
devs were shifted to black tusk, black tusk new ip for 2015 and gears of war for 2016 or may be 2014.
The fact is, (and this is only my opinion) It's good to
see the other side of development, when a
dev puts their heart and soul into a
game and it pays off, this industry is often a story of broken dreams, failures and sensationalist headlines.

Ubisoft has sent out the third
dev diary for Prince of Persia today, showing producer Ben Mattes, level designer Michael McIntyre and narrative director Andrew Walsh — who all look like they could sleep for roughly a week — talking about the
game's illustrative art design, the environments, and what they
see Prince of Persia as.
There are definitely many people in
seeing the
game succeed,
devs and players alike, and I think it really shows that the
devs have put their passion and love into the
game.
I agree with you, back then
games were constantly evolving and
devs were coming up with new and interesting
game mechanics and sub genres to keep you interested, and you were genuinely excited to
see a sequel because you knew it was going to at least add something new and interesting to the mix, now
devs are so afraid of loosing the fanbase most sequels are the same
game with a new coat of paint and setting.
i think ill be playing online
games on my xbox still, but i am very excited to
see what the 1st party sony
devs bring our way next year.
While i don't get the point of survival
games (and wasn't exactly pleased to
see Ark releasing paid DLC before being a finished product), it is good to
see the
dev teams hard work has finally paid off.

saw some frustrations and have to admit that
Game Dev Tycoon could use some more polish.
So a bunch of
devs who worked on Panzer Dragoon teamed up to make a Kinect
game, using a control scheme similar to that found in Child of Eden, that
sees players training and flying a bunch of dragons on a variety of missions... and it looks gorgeous too.

games were never my thing, its good to know ya don't have to play it using the guitars... you'd probably limit sales that way as well, since a shooter
game is a far cry from a music
game... im happy there are still
devs who are thinking outside the box as well as willing to still do side - scrolling 2d work... i'd like to
see more adventure 2d side - scrolling
games tho... like Magician Lord was to the NEO-GEO or the Ghosts N Goblins series or Wizards & Warriors... those were fun

I assumed that the reason why the Payday 2
devs weren't allowed to use the app is because they were planning to ditch it in favor of a system wide voice chat system but apparently that isn't the case so I don't
see why
devs apparently aren't allowed to put voice chat in their switch
games right now.

seeing more and more

games I enjoy agreeing with the «thief» label.

While I'd
saw one of my feet off for a new Uncharted
game, I felt Uncharted 3 didn't match Uncharted 2, so the fact that the
devs are working on a new IP allows them to get stuck in to a load of new ideas, features and styles.
I genuinely expect to
see good things come out of this
game if the
dev team continues to add mini
games and correct existing problems.
The cracked version is nearly identical to the real thing except for one detail... as players spend a few hours playing and growing their own
game dev company, they will start to
see the message pictured above, styled like any other in -
game message.

In my opinion, I don't want to
see any regulation of Early Access — there will always be thieves and shysters who try to defraud the system, but at the start of the project these are pretty much indistinguishable from a brand new
game dev who wants to take a punt on his first project.
I delve into this beautiful
game to
see if there is any substance beneath and
see if the last four years the
devs spent making it have been worthwhile.
The
game launches tomorrow and the entire
dev team is feverishly waiting to finally
see what the players think.
Devs have to make money... and if you have this
game and like it, and want to
see them do more
games, support them with you wallets!
I
see your fears about
devs taking the easy way out in creating their
games because «demo play» might give people the incentive to just watch the
game instead of play it but ya know what?
I could
see them giving a
dev like Grezzo reigns to make a top down or even 3D
game that stays more to traditional Zelda though.
Anyways as for the awards, I feel sorry for Japanese
devs to be embarrassed for participating these foreign awards when they
see so many American based
games participating.
