Although many will suggest that Robson has a personal vendetta of sorts aimed squarely at the Grinch who stole soccer, that doesn't make his words any less truthful... such tactics

in the U.S.this business practice has become so common that even the players regularly use the media to manipulate public opinion (LeBron James

nice to
see you crawl out of your hole just

in his earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which at that point
was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class players into the fold without
being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated
in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements coming

if the facade

's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has

is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion
in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and

i
see that arsenal have won their 1st match after the international break from football which
is stupid.ON other news a rumour popped up and a link to Isco who plays for Real
in the jan window,
if this
is true than not only
is Wenger a lousy manager but has wasted ozil's talents of 42.5 million and add another 36.5 for Isco cause he ain't going to chase after lost causes.Maybe he
is just
interested in attacking football but
does not know how to use it.
We
are rumored to
be interested in other CBs as well, more likely to
be a starter than a prospect and
if that
is the case then it will
be hard to
see us follow through with Holding, kinda argues for us to
be trying to save a few # # on Holding so we
do not spend the money too quick and it can
be used on a better CB
if we manage it.
Therefore it'll
be an
interesting few weeks to

If they truly
were interested in Aubameyang, Evans, etc they have the resources to

I would like to
see Ozil learn to defend more
if he isn't going to find his scoring boots, learn from Cazorla... It would
be an
interesting experiment to
do, play Cazorla and Ozil as 2 creative B2B players but I
do nt think it will trump Cazorla
in a deep lying playmaker role and Ozil
in the ACM role.
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we
're going to get played by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there
is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it
in for several years now or that things
are going to get much worse before they get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets
in the World... they want to have a front row seat to
see something special and to
be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many of them, Wenger
is the sun
in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending... as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix...
if he goes, they
were wrong and that
's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they
were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will
be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have gotten more vile
in recent years
is out of utter frustration...
in order for any real change to occur at this club we need to bring as many supporters as possible with us or the big money
interests will fade and our ultimate objective will
be lost... so it
's time to focus on the head instead of the heart for now
But Ray Parlour goes even further and thinks that Wenger could find himself
in trouble
if things don't work out the way Le Prof hopes it will, and he doesn't think he
was ever
interested in buying Benzema either: «It'll
be interesting to
see what happens now because he'll
be under pressure Arsene Wenger,» he said.
However
if Arsenal truly
are interested and the price tag can
be negotiated then I don't
see why the Gunners should have any trouble
in signing him.
I know it
's a negative comment but
interested to
see who people think
are the weakest links
in the team, For me I would say Wilshere & Arteta, For obvious reasons Mikel given he has very little
if any physical presence to dominate the centre of the park and Jack purely because it seems our style just
does not suite the lad..
If Can
does end up replacing Modric
in Madrid, it'll
be interesting to
see how the German copes with the amount of pressure he
's going to have on his shoulders.
even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead of accepting the fact that he would never stick his legs into the spaces that
were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his lack of physicality, size and holding up play talents would
been on display for all to
see... these
are not the actions of a club that really cares about winning at the highest levels, but they
are the actions of a club that wasn't
interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a world - class striker, which
is usually the most expensive position on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry on, which ultimately caused some discomfort on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have
been theirs for the taking
in the first place... don't get me wrong, I believe that Walcott
is a talented player, who can help a team reach their goals,
if their goals
are relatively modest... just look at the teams who supposedly expressed
interest in his services and they weren't the kind of clubs who aspire to win at the highest levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't
been bitching and moaning about moving on just look at the wage benefits he receives from our club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that come with playing
in North London for a club with worldwide appeal... so instead of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move on and buy a new and better coat
He
's got a big arm that he doesn't mind using, and it will
be interesting to
see if Albin employs him
in more of a standard way, giving him more downfield looks on passing downs.
With car launches not far away it'll
be interesting to
see if there
's much difference
in what the teams have
done with the aerodynamics of their Halos.
Arsene has pretty much down rated the Capitol one cup and using cheap shit players including so ospina I think Arsene needs to readically
see himself and ask what to
do when they play Chelsea...... I thnk there
is not
interest if arsenal go to final then satisfied lose still satisfied and
in the premier league just participate.....
And assuming Alabama doesn't fall far behind, it will also
be interesting to
see if LSU can keep up without a drop - off
in the second half against Bama's «turn into a boa constrictor with the game on the line» tactics.
Really
interesting, i
do not
see a new CB coming
in, we seem to have a new GK (
in truth not really needed), the DM role
is sticky and really
do not know
if wenger will buy, i
do think we have internal solutions
in Hayden and chambers.
This
is gonna
be interesting to
see how it plays out, Earl might ultimately for their hand by holding out for a deal they
do nt want to give,
in that even he could probably
be had for a 4th, maybe even less
if there isnt much competition to land him.
Short of getting a guaranteed payout (as
is often
seen in an NFL contract, for example), the next best thing a UFC fighter can
do is negotiate specifics of the deal
in each of the bout agreements, and
be willing to say no
if it
's not
in their
interest at that time.
Time for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands,
is in no better position to compete next season than they
were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have
been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo...
if you look at the facts carefully you will
see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis...
in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but
in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he
's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of for years because he and his father
were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had
interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there
are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to
see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough
was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie
in the sky meanderings
are indicative of what
's wrong with this club and it
's wishy - washy fan - base...
in addition to these moves the club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we need to target a CDM then
do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player
in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)...
in order for us to become dominant again we need to
be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to striker, like we
did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger
's reign... with this
in mind,
if we want Ozil to
be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players
in the final third... he
was never a good defensive player
in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely
in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil
were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract
is criminal for a club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model needs a complete overhaul... for me it
's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even
if it means selling them below what you believe their market value
is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would
be manageable
if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who
is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will
be deeply missed)...
in their places we need to bring
in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I
do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam
being perpetrated by this club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry
's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP,
was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to
be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model
was that of a «selling» club...
does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he
was being offered up for half the price he eventually went to Juve for, or that we've only paid any
interest to strikers who
were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has
done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model
in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically
in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking
in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and
were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who
were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it
was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really
was...
It remains to
be seen if Arsenal could revive their
interest in Martial, but there seems room for him
in Arsene Wenger's squad as the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi could
do with replacing.
I
'm very
interested to
see if Carmella ends up eating the pin
in this match —
if she
does, it makes me feel like she
's going to get a cash -
in opportunity for her Money
in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 34, because WWE loves to make it seem like the briefcase holder
is totally useless and helpless before they cash
in.
As much as I'd like to
see Chambers
in the middle (provided he
is mentally recovered from Sunday), I
'm much more
interested in seeing if there
is any change
in the team's mentality —
do we collectively compete to win the ball back,
if we
are up with 20 minutes to go will our wing backs and box2box midfielder play more pragmatically etc. etc..
Since their return from injury i have tried to give Welbeck and Wilshire the benefit of the doubt when others have slagged them off for some pretty average displays.Regrettably I
am now of the opinion that they will never reach the standards required to make a meaningful contribution towards the revival of Arsenal and along with 3/4 others
in the current squad they should
be moved on.Their performances against Stoke
was the last straw as far as I
am concerned.It will
be interesting to
see if Gareth Southgate shares my views and
does not include them
in his World Cup squad.
He doesn't deserve 300K but saying he
's average
is deceiving yourself. Why didn't Arsenal sell him after 15/16 season? Also
if no top club
is interested in Ozil let
's wait and
see the club he'll move to when he leaves on a free transfer.I guess it won't
be a top club then.People speak as
if it
's only Ozil
in Arsenal that teams
are not
interested in.
If Ozil
is sold then I don't
see why players like Giroud, Walcott and the like should remain here.
Arsenal should take the game to them and it will
be interesting to
see how the Gunners
do against such strong opposition
in the opening round of fixtures, but
if I
was to make a suggestion, no matter how unprepared PSG may feel, I
'm sure they
are in the stronger position before a ball has
been kicked.
