Tried out two different
recipes to make homemade sprinkles - the first of which I
saw here, the second being a bit
more of a royal icing... saw this article about the huge hummus recall happening at Trader Joe's and Target (read
more here) and I thought hmmmm... time to share a super easy homemade
recipe.
But
more than loving it, I miss it dearly — Roanoke has nothing on Soul Veg (and by nothing I mean nothing, there's no semblance of vegan soul food
here, just that hippy - granola - healthy stuff, which is good... but you know...) Back in the day there used to be a cookbook based off their
recipes and one of my friends managed to get a copy — I've never
seen or heard of another one out there, so who knows the story.
I have many

Now, as for what I would like to
see (
more of) on
here, I honestly don't know, because I genuinely think you do a fantastic job at switching things up and posting an incredibly varied range of
recipes / foods / meals.
And when I pulled a can of soup out of the cupboard to check the carbs so I could talk about it accurately in the old
recipe, my soup had been out - of - date for
more than 5 years, so definitely the version you
see here is the one I'd be making now!
True, the
recipe is for multiple pork steaks and the ingredients for the BBQ sauce are for four pork steaks, but I BBQ'd this for myself, so while you will only
see one pork steak on the BBQ, the
recipe is for four and you can apply the method to three
more than the one I make
here.
It's time to look back at another year of
more than 150 new gluten free
recipes here on the blog, along with
recipes from years past, and
see what you loved the very best.

The squishy Play - Doh provides great sensory stimulation while your toddler plays and, since you can always buy or make
