Overall Amed offers great variety — we have some great reefs and drifts with a chance to
see sharks and other big stuff, muck dives for critter
hunting, multiple shipwrecks including the Liberty covered in corals and fish — whatever sort of diving you like we can offer you here (well, except ice diving!).
Expect to
see vibrant corals, large sea fans and a plethora of reef fish but the major attractions here are manta rays, whale
sharks, groups of
hunting tuna, schooling barracuda, fusiliers, large trevallies, leopard
sharks, nurse
sharks and hawksbill turtles.
Barracudas, trevallies, reef
sharks and tunas
hunt along these walls, and Elphinstone is also one of the best sites to
see the fearsome oceanic whitetip
shark.
You could be sailing along and
see the allure of a treasure chest on some remote island, decide you want to
hunt a whale or
shark, pull out a treasure map, or maybe you want to cause chaos and take down other ships.
