During the day with all the colour and
sun light it can be hard to
spot all of them that surround the reef's up here in the Gilis but on the night dive, focusing on our light beam and being in almost pitch black you can not but help to
spot them scattered around and the colour you
see is mind blowing.

I have
seen a lot of posts on WUWT from Dr. Leif Svalgaard (a world renowned solar scientist, apparently) though, and he doesn't seem to give much credence to the
sun -
spot theory, if I understand him correctly.
So, you can fake
spots all day long by counting pores, but when you go outside tomorrow and project the
Sun, you will
see the reality of the situation.
If the warming was caused by a brightening
sun or reduced sulphate pollution, you'd still
see a hot
spot.
When I look at all of this, I
see a handful of the 100 large solar system bodies showing some evidence of local warming (Jupiter's
spot), some evidence of systemic warming with known causes that are a lot more likely than the
Sun heating up (like well - understood orbital variations), and some evidence that any warming experienced by these bodies is possibly being exaggerated in the reporting.
You might think that since the
spots are cooler than the solar surface we'd
see a drop in light from the
Sun and a corresponding cooling of the Earth during solar max.
You may continue defending this idea, I can't
see how given this
sun spot conundrum.
On my website look at the news item on the top of the page, the two
sun comparison, the one to the left (early November 2004) shows a huge
sun spot, the summer / fall of 2004 had several
sun spots, in large contrast to the summer fall of 2005, almost none were
seen, 2005 was a weak year for
sun spots.
Seeing them recovering together in a
sun spot on our bed: Priceless.
Sun spots dance across the walls and floors, and
seeing birds swooping in and through the front porch makes me feel eight years old again.
Our deck is the only
spot in the back yard that gets any
sun and it's the one place I wish was shady: (Can't wait to
see the results!
