After all, we've been through each OS version already thanks to the numerous BlackBerry 10 devices on the market now such as the BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Q5, BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Z30, BlackBerry Z3 and finally, the BlackBerry Passport and you can see how BlackBerry 10 has grown with improvements to the BlackBerry Hub, device settings and options, system notifications, the browser and even app selection by partnering with Amazon to offer Android apps through BlackBerry 10 by simply looking back at those devices.

From what we've seen of the TouchPad at HP's press conference, webOS 3.0 certainly looks impressive and offers a wide range of goodies including wireless printing, good app integration, the Synergy sycing system and a browser that supports Flash.

I still wouldn't be surprised to see, at some point, an opening up of the system in a manner similar to what happened with the Nook Color so that apps can be thrown on.

That's a problem that plagues devices with brand new operating systems, but it will be interesting to see whether developers flock to the PlayBook in the coming months — or whether the ability to run Android apps on the tablet changes things at all.

I get the point of root access when the Company has a somewhat closed system, but I've been using the Android app player and converted apps for like two months... They've gotten honeycomb and all the launchers working so I just don't see the purpose of rooting.

Not only are NDK - built applications off - limits for the Blackberry Playbook's Android Player, but so are any applications which rely on Google Maps, text - to - speech, in - app purchases, or the cloud - to - device messaging system that you've seen used with Google's Chrome to Phone extension.
