And saying that, prepare to
see the backs of both Ozil and Sanchez in the next season.
Also I shall not be sorry to
see the back of Ozil who is just lazy, timid and is only effective for his huge reputation, in the physical Prem, around one game in every four.
* if its consensus among our fans to
see the back of ozil then so be it.

Good to
see Ozil back, Ramsey and Gabriel are the weakest links here, What's the odds on both
of them costing us the points today?
Ozil didn't have influnce on the game in the first half he didn't
see the ball much he did get
back and keep a good shape but he hardly intercept or influenced offensively.the highlight
of his first half was the chance he created for welbeck
Alexis came with a good spirit,
seing Ozil on board, thinking a team would be built around them but year after year, it is no top class addition with a guessing game plan, weakness all over the pitch, players out
of position, a team scared to play and lost as manager... Sanchez then started to ask more money, we said no as to
Ozil; waiting 6 month later to be on last year contract... The all management is nuts and Alexis or any players try until they get fed up,
Ozil plays to get fit for wrld cup and his value
back...
When you consider that we had Monreal at centre
back in that game and no Coquelin or
Ozil, while Cazorla and Giroud were not fit enough to start, you can
see why the boss is looking forward to the game and confident
of ending our poor run against United.
We have
Ozil Sanches who when we are loosing there heads go down you don't
see that with West Ham, even the coach gets in on the game, Wenger and even Boulds are so laid
back they look as if there watching a game
of lawn bowls.
^ I have admired him for a while and I can not imagine any team
seeing a front 3
of Alexis, Auba and
Ozil and think it is fine... Every team will end up with brown underwear In my head though, he is unrealistic, he has already said he wouldn't join us and we had UCL football
back then.
Welbeck is useful in tracking

In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch
of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all
of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because
of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather
see what he could do in a
back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention
of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years
back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any
of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself,
Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure
of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez
of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
Clearly, this is considering a 4 2 3 1 formation, which I don't
see being very different from a 4141 formation, expcept for the lack
of a cm tracking

ozil on the wing fiasco (which i can only hope is Wenger «challenging» him» / lack

Well done to Welbeck you first

The concern for Arsenal fans, however, is which
Ozil we are going to
see when he does play again, so the clear enthusiasm
of the German to get
back on the pitch is just as good news as his return to fitness.
A midfield 3
of either Xhaka - Ramsey - Coquelin or Xhaka - Elneny - Coquelin, will allow us more
of a presence in the midfield and allow the team in general to move further up the pitch,
seeing as in the past two games the
back line and the midfield has constantly sat
back inviting pressure to build up, whilst the attacking trio
of Theo,
Ozil and Sanchez would just remain up top.
I would love to
see a big dm option come in, but again with all our midfield options due
back by the time we face spurs (in 5 matches time) I can
see wenger running with 2
of cazorla rosicky chamberlain
ozil ramsey wilshire arteta zelalem diaby and niles, playing either side
of coquelin flamini chambers or hayden, again 14 options for 3 positions will be considered enough by wenger.
When Ramsey is playing well and he gets
back to defend then I think we
see more out
of Ozil and Xhaka, I thought
Ozil played better at the end
of the season than in the middle when the team imploded and that I do remember
seeing Ramsey getting
back more than he did in pre season Chelsea game, along with the extra CB to help win the ball
back, it has meant
Ozil can focus more on finding space ready for when his team mates have won the ball
back.
However in today's game, the fans and media are quick to turn their
backs on players when the going gets tough, and as we've
seen with
Ozil already this season, it's been suggested that he's been made to feel as the scapegoat
of the club.
But cesc is on a different plane, he
sees the game unlike most other players I've watched, his passing accuracy as well as vision is magnificent and tbh if he had come
back and showed the desire he had before he left I'm sure most fans would have preferred that to some
of the more disinterested performances
ozil gives.
We have already had the bonus
of seeing Alexis Sanchez overcome the knock to his Arsenal and play for Chile and now the news that our creator in chief

With the German World Cup winning trio
of Ozil, Podolski and Mertesacker still unavailable and with Gibbs and Sanogo staying in London because
of injury problems, the boss has a depleted squad to work with, especially at the
back, so I would not be surprised to
see Wenger take the game to our Turkish opponents, rather than trying to keep it tight.
I can not
see Ozil as MOTM... yes @ assists, 1st was corner... obviously if he's the one taking the corner there more
of a chance
of him getting the assisrt if we score... apart from that, the guy doesn't work hard enough for the team and with him not tracking
back, you'd exepect him to have the «Messi effect» (random burst
of pace — due to reserved energy)-- yet
Ozil seems sluggish.
The Arsenal played well we had over 70 % position
of the ball with something like 27 attacks were 8 were on target burnly had a game plan and that game plan was about hurting our players ankles and they got away scot free with it yet xaka gets red?????? Yes they were diddling about when that happened but compare it to the challenge on
ozil and he was on goal yes koscienly came
back from an offside position but the high boot on the head was dangerous I thought Arsenal played well and controlled the game well even when we were put under pressure in our own half when you look at the penalty awarded to them you will
see a dive as coquelin barely touched him how many time did they push kosscielny
of the ball???? hope he is ok as he was looking like he had a thigh problem I like the
back four
of todays as Gabriel did ok specially when we went down to ten men >> > I salute our Arsenal for wining the game on the 97 minit with only 10 men on the field What an iced cold penalty scored by Alexis
I honestly have no idea why people are talking about DMs, CB's and fullbacks... when we lose Sanchez and the very real prospect
of losing Ox and
Ozil we will officially have the most predictable and boring attack I have ever
seen at arsenal... I'd actually take Gervinho
back as at least he had some unpredictability to his game!!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't seem to remember players like Santi Cazorla and Mesut
Ozil being very keen to track
back or put in some strong challenges last season, we've all
seen them play the dirty part
of the game this campaign though!
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out
of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the
backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out
of our own end (I have
seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our
backs out wide, we've
seen pace from the likes
of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing -
back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have
Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out
of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I
see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a
back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing -
back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've
seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Also jimmy jazz again great name by the way i think the fact were 6th in ayer purchases and i agree without kane spurs would be below without kaneuckeu them for now but i
see laca will be better next year and auba will have had a taste
of the rigorous epl and because its a world cup year we need stability with wenger for atleast another year i think were vying for that spot and wi th cazorla coming
back and hopfully Jack signs with a couple good signings if we splash some cash and
ozil already signed we could surprise the league next year with a very strong season and Leicester surprised apparently everybody but us cause we handled them well that year but no one else dod and we finished second but i think its not so good for a big club like us with internationals in a world cup year to change managers do it in a non world cup year cause you only have a couple weeks with your players maybe less with some before season starts
i think this could officially be the start

I have been a fan
of AFC for 20 years now and consider myself fortunate enough to have
seen Ian Wright, the famous
back four, Seaman, Parlour to Cesc, Henry, RVP, Hleb, Cole, and on to the recent Ramsey,
Ozil and Sanchez play in the famous red and white.
At the end
of the day, the best formation to suit
Ozil is a classic Arsenal 4 -2-3-1 which means he can play in the hole behind that striker feeding balls to the pacey wingers and striker without having to worry about tracking
back too much
seeing as there will be 2 midfielders behind him playing the double pivot to track
back aswell as the wingers.
Gutted to lose Theo but I will be glad to
see the
back of Sanchez and
ozil.
Yea, where the hell was
ozil, yea, busy with his average self, m
back again with my
ozil analysis When you play games after games with side passes and obvious passes, no dribbles, no 1 - 2s, no shots on goal and you keep possession
of the ball in non-threatening areas and people say you are a world class player, well, he's the poorest world class player I've ever
seen, so to say.
all
of our midfielders seemed to
see how far they could play away from
Ozil, to me he looked his normal self and seemed to trust the others too much to get him the ball
back.
Anyway the player I'm looking forward to
seeing in action the most is our Player -
of - the - Season Mesut
Ozil, to
see if he gets
back into the assist game with some proper strikers ahead
of him.
If we revert to 4 at the
back I am neutral on Ox (on the wings) but like him in the center where Wenger probably
sees Ozil and Ramsey ahead
of him.
Until then Cazorla makes sure we have 2 players for each
of those 2 roles... I kinda like how that can force Ramsey into stepping up the def side
of his game or look to be an
Ozil backup XD We know a inform Ramsey is good to watch, I want to
see him bring that
back.
The two
back to
back FA cups did help and probably made it easier for Wenger to convince the club's stars that Arsenal were a good prospect, but you get the feeling that the collapse
of another title challenge like we
saw last season may just give us a big problem with the likes
of Ozil and Alexis.
With all Arsenal's injury problems last season,
Ozil often had to do without the likes
of Walcott and Ramsey running into those key areas but if he does now get his place in the centre
back for Arsenal, he is likely to have not only those two, but Alexis and Welbeck to work with and then we really might start to
see the best
of Ozil.
Cech / Coq / Caz /
Ozil / Giroud the spine will be enough to get by that
back 5
of Munichs and keep them at bay... Neuer will be tested by our front 3
of Alexis / G12 / Campbell and can
see Campbell grabbing one as he likes to take a shot when given an inch so good on him.
Yes i would have liked Iwobi to have provided chances for Welbz and Laca, but his main job was to assisted in the middle
of the park so that we did not get overrun and that was done we do not normally
see Walcott and
Ozil standing firmly with defenders in their
back helping the midfield to move the ball, the ball would have been lost and arsenal would have been countered on many occasion.
Part
of problem is lack
of defensive cover forcing players to hold
back... would love to
see reus Campbell and cazorla combining with wilshere (on form) and
ozil... cavalho seems obvious answer to me
You are right though if Santi can't drill from the top
of the 18 and
Ozil and Coq can't that leaves us with vey few options with the players that
see about 70 %
of our possession against teams that are just sitting
back and defending.
Arsene Wenger has spoken about it taking a long time to come
back after so long but we have
seen the likes
of Ramsey and
Ozil brought
back much more quickly and so when the talk
of contract negotiations with Walcott came up, I suspected that there was a bit more to the situation than met the eye.
Many people have had their say as to why we finally
saw the
Ozil that helped his country to win the World Cup and was such a mainstay
of the Real Madrid side under Jose Mourinho, with many focusing on him being moved
back into the niddle by Arsene Wenger.
I can remember as a child my father taking my to
see Stoke City who always out sang the away teams and the passion flowed through to their players, what's happend to Arsenal, what was the quote from Roy Keane Our club is in a downfall last nights Ossian average Gibbs - plays like a winger bel - looked out
of his depth Mert NOT GOOD ENOUGH Kos can't play both Cb on his own Le coq found wanting in possession Welbeck 4th choice Utd plays ever week for us, says it all Sanchez poor last night tries to do too much Santii - felt sorry for him, tried, kept getting pulled
back and no movement in front
of him
Ozil 1/2 things either he doesn't suit the premier or doesn't suit wenger approach GIroud not good enough no where near stevie wonder could
see that And finally wenger 10 years ago ahead
of his time, now NO PASSION, NO TACTICS, NO FEAR FACTOR, = no job
licence coach but you don't need that to

back 4 but the way we play doesn't get the best out

we can win the league without Sanchez and with a net spend
of 75million (or in my opinion keep Sanchez and spend 135 net but have him added to one
of the strongest squads ive ever
seen) the possibility
of 3 -5-2, 3 -4-1-2, 4 -4-2, 4 -3-3, 1 Cech 2 Bellerin 3 Mustafi 4 Kos (C) 5 Van Djik (60 Million) 6 Kolasinac 7 Xhaka 8 Ramsey 9
Ozil 10 Lacazette 11 Mbappe (110million) 12 Martinez 13 Holding 14 Monreal 15 Ox 16 Goretzka (30million) 17 Lemar (45million) 18 Welbeck 19 Butland (25million but loan straight
back to Stoke)
