see him in the movie Kinsey, in which the future sexologist's pompous, teetotaling, Bible - wielding father (played by the massive - browed John Lithgow) cows his wife at the dinner table and disowns his son for daring to attend a different college from the one where
dad teaches.
He loves animals and the zoo is a great way for us to get to

read about otherwise — this weeks highlights include feeding the elephant with Rainy Day

I don't
see the Lunii as a replacement for
reading to your child — you can't beat a bedtime book and snuggle with Mum or
Dad, but I do think it provides another entertainment tool that isn't screen - related.
I mean we have an account from Thomas Digges sort of written much later saying, «Yeah, my
dad, you know, back in the day» — I'm paraphrasing — «Back in the day my
dad was doing these things with tubes and pieces of glass and, you know, he could
see a coin that we placed out in the field and he could, you know,
read the lettering on the entrance to the church on the other side of town.»

I'm an avid reader and like many others recently
read Rich
Dad Poor
Dad and now I'm hooked on the idea of financial independence through real estate (and my other passion of value investing...
see the pattern here?).
What I do want to muse on, however, is the spray she gave about what my children will think if they ever
read the blog and
see what I've said about their
dad.
She
reads Goosebumps books, likes vampire dolls and loves the idea of zombies, even though
Dad won't let her
see any movies containing them.
