Just Got Better — Now is the best time to
see them
Just off the coast we already
see the first
whales.
On our ten - minute boat ride back, the dolphins join us again — playing in the wake of our boat — and
just slightly off in the distance we
see the three Gray
Whales happily chugging along in the same direction as us.
While we didn't
see any dolphins this trip, we did
see turtles
just off the rocks, lots of shooting stars at night, and even a couple of
whales that popped up to say goodbye on our last morning.
Take a boat tour out from the wharf for excellent
whale - watching — grays, blues, or humpbacks, depending on the time of year — or head inland
just a bit to
see the ancient trees at Big Basin Redwoods State Park, located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

With the continued development of Vancouver Island's highway and a shifting mentality towards
whales in the wild, tourists from around the world travelled to Telegraph Cove
just to
see the Orca and this still rings true today.
We snorkeled with the penguins fishing,
seen sharks in the lava pools, golden rays in the mangrove swamp, pelicans and flamingos to name
just a few... oh and don't forget the killer
whale and the seahorse.
Because the southern right
whale is busy congregating
just off the country's coastline; close enough to the coast to
see with the naked eye.

I spent some time here
just enjoying the view, and I actually
saw a
whale and her calf swim by and do a few jumps out of the water!

Iberostar Playa Mita is part of a gated resort area

Because of the cold, food - rich 1 - mile - / 1.6 - km - deep Monterey submarine canyon
just offshore,
whales and marine mammals thrive here, making it an outstanding place to
see whales year - round.
In the winter, you may
see whales in the water
just off the shore.
Just another reason why Australia is the best place to
see whales — you're able to experience
whales in their natural habitat.
During the summer and fall months it is not uncommon to
see giant blue
whales and finback
whales just outside the bay.
We then
saw what looks like a giant
whale like creature swimming through the sky
just doing it's thing.
I know it's hard to believe, but it could be some folks
just won't
see the humour in jokes about yodeling octopi and baby - pooping
whales tucked away in the game's fish - o - pedia.
Seeing it on a screen is nothing like, for example; standing on a rocky, stormy sea shore; smelling ocean; hearing gulls, feeling and tasting the spray, getting cold, and spotting a
whale passing
just out there - a real one; live - now.
To me happiness is
seeing a
whale surfacing, camping on a wilderness site with no noise except that of nature,
seeing a curious young wolf come near to
just watch us.....
