Once volume starts to rev up, we may
see the sweet spot of the historically strong mid-term election
year rally, which typically starts in late September, so I remain confident that we'll ride
through this market «hurricane
season» into a stronger fourth quarter.
I'm blogging
through the lectionary this

season (
See Advent 1, Advent 2, Advent 3), and today's reading comes from Luke 1:39 - 56.
It is only halfway
through the
season for Arsenal, but Arsene wenger has already
seen his team descend to 23 points behind the League leaders Man City and crash out of the FA Cup in the Third Round for the first time in his 21
years at Arsenal.
Senior slot receiver Deondre Farrior has
seen plenty of playing time

After a tough
season the previous
year, which had
seen some discontent in the side, he brought together a real mix of new and experienced players
through one of the calmest and most understated styles of leadership I have encountered.
Sadly when they all retired / were transferred we have
seen the team go
through alarming slumps every
season for more than ten
years.
Typically these periods in past few
seasons has
seen us chasing the top table team with average of 10 points, then comes our end of
season charge which has
seen us having more points than any other epl team in the final two months of the
season over the past few
years as well. This is mostly due to injuries plaguing key members our team around this period every
year, apparently we've gone
through our rough mid
season patch again or might still be going
through seeing as we have list some key players like carzola, bellerin to injuries again.
After supporting the Arsenal for 56
years through great
seasons and poor
seasons, I would have
seen Arsene Wenger move on in 2009, ie 5
years after the Invincibles
Season.
The 30 -
year - old would add plenty of quality and experience to Jurgen Klopp's squad, which, for all its quality, arguably lacks
seasoned winners to
see them
through some tricky games.
While NYRB can be admired as an organization for having installed a consistent system from the academy
through to the first team, I don't
see Timbers as being close to that point yet, especially considering the disappointing
season T2 had last
year, and the move from Porter to Gio.
We are now in the position to push onand spend some proper money on players that are needed, real quality, not just purchases to
see us
through the CL this
season (we have no chance of winning it this
year, no matter who we buy in the transfer window).
We've also had the DM problem for
years, which was only solved midway
through last
season by pure luck of the injuries, NOT because Wenger suddenly had the ability to
see he had no balance in his team.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the
years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary
through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did
years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones
through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have
seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've
seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last
year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last
season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off -
season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple
years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last
season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I
see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the
season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've
seen on this squad for some
years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
The 25
year old had a decent
season at the Turin club but was unable to prevent a calamitous
season that
saw the Old Lady of Italian football go
through three managers and finish in seventh spot and flail disastrously in the Champions League where they finished in third spot before falling to Fulham in the Europa League.
wenegr is in the twilight
years of his arsenal career now he might or might not
see out the full term of his contract, i would image he wont give up but if he do nt get a big prize this
season or next his desire might dwindle even more the board have
seen what a shambles man united have gone
through and the expense of failure, if they do nt get the next appointment right the board is trying to give themselves as much time to identify a replacement and in the correct time unless wenger leaves at short notice, i think if he had won the c / l all thought
years ago we would be looking at a different story i think he would have left at the end if that contract as he would be at the peak of his powers and could of gone anywhere he like across europe, but he didn't win and here we are now, i respect the man for what he has done for us and english football a modern day herbert chapmen he is but even old chappy had his end of and era and wenger will have his end its just how will it play out hopefully a winner
After Arsenal struggled
through the end of 2015 and the start of the new
year with a pretty heavy injury lost, we all got excited when players started to come back to match fitness and one player in particular was
seen as the possible saviour of the
season and the man to spark a strong sprint for the line in the race to win the Premier League.
«Nobody is a freshman anymore,» Harbaugh says in reference to being five games
through season,
seeing more FR on field this

To make matters worse, drivers aren't allowed to stockpile elements like they have done in the past, such as in Belgium last
year when Lewis Hamilton took a load of penalties at once in order to

through the rest of the

Look Arsenal fans, even if this turns out for the worst, it is still nothing like the injury crisis that Arsene Wenger was having to cope with at this stage last
year, or the continuous problems that hit the Gunners midway
through the previous
season that
saw our brilliant start to the
season ruined.
The 18
year - old has fired 19 goals in all competitions so far this
season, including a whopping 11 in his last nine outings for Monaco, helping his side to top the French Ligue 1 table ahead of Paris Saint - Germain, as well as scoring in both legs against Manchester City to
see his team
through to the last eight of the Champions League.
It was a culmination of what's been a special
year for both dad and daughter — a
year in which the two may have shared more

seeing less of each other's games than previous
seasons.
I think the signing of both of these players would be a great boost for us for the coming
season Cavani has undeniable class but can't
see Wenger going for a striker this summer considering that we only bought Welbeck not even a
year ago, I think we should go for Marco Reus as our now customary (or so they would have us believe) marquee signing of the summer and promote from within to fill some of the other gaps in our squad, except for maybe CDM as we lack rotation in this area, but our very own Le Coq shows what promotion from within can achieve, he is just one of many players to come
through the ranks to command a spot in our starting XI, such as Bellerin those 2 seem like almost the first names on the team sheet nowadays who would have thought that 1
year ago or even 6 months ago?
Nice article... I used to be one of those staunch Wenger fans
through the
years... I used to believe he is superior than Sir Alex, because with almost nothing to spend and playing with kids, he managed to keep us up there every
year... I was really caught up with that half
season wonder we used to show... In the summer 2013, him or the board (I don't recall) came out and said we are much stable financially and now we can fight with the biggest bullies, I got my hopes high, I thought we are definitely signing a top striker and DM, that what we need... What happened, only hours before the window closed we managed to sign a top AMF (remember we have our best player for the
season 2012 - 2013 was AMF, Cazorla if you remember), I was really depressed
seen Giroud leading the line every match... then comes winter window, and we were right there top of the table... My friend send me a poster of an elephant on a tree, and on the bottom of it «no one knows how it got there but everybody knows how it will get down»... I told my friend that we are only one decent striker far from the gold... and what happened, we signed an old injured DM on loan... That for me was a completely arrogance and stubbornness cost us the league title... There I completely lost the plot with Wenger... I wish yesterday I was with those who raised that banner... I would write in my banner «Enough talks and philosophy, we need results»
This is a decent article, yet the negatives from fans are still there, I would love to
see arsenal like I did at the end of the 90's and at the beggining of the 2nd millennium but it doesn't mean in order to do so I would buy all the best players in world, I would get a rich owner to put his filthy money in, change the manager every 2
years to do so, there's so much wrong in football nowadays that yes it's still a sport but there's more focus on the filthy amounts of money being spent on clubs and players that I think attracts more attention than the game itself, now that is wrong and it's very wrong, even our owner though not like the arabs or Russians, yet the yank is clueless about the tradition of our game, it's just sad, so the fact that Wenger has remained for this long
through all these changes that have occurred whilst the money game has elvolved, it makes me happy that arsenal do not spend stupid amounts of money on players, we don't try and buy the league, hell we even tight with wages and transfer fees, I'm glad it's like that, though our
season ticket is a rip off I still don't mind it because at least we are not like the other supreme teams, there's a bit of tradition left at our club, yet you go to man shitty or Chelski, there is no tradition, it's all about buying ur way all the way to the top, on the other hand spuds don't know what to make of them besides how the heck have they finished above us?
Wenger announced earlier on Friday he would bring the curtain down on his 22
year tenure at the end of the
season — a spell that
saw the London club achieve the domestic double twice (1998/2002) and the 2003 - 4 «Invincibles» the first English team in the modern era to go
through a First Division / Premier League
season unbeaten.
check this example ManU bought valencia last
season and all

years and yet they have developed minimal.
Two goals from Aaron Ramsey
saw Arsenal safely
through to the group stages of the Champions League for the sixteenth consecutive
year and at least keep the shareholders happy for another
season.
I read somewhere that some said we're not clinical enough that is a culture at wenger has become too friendly with the players at Arsenal the players position are seldom under treat you play poorly for two weeks and you still make the team you missed a look at almunia retrospectively don't understand that hey if i get a chance to score i must take it the first time cause i may not get a next one and you want the players to be clinical it must start from the top good work or none As was said on a website to day Arsenal should parade
through the streets of london in an open top Bus at the end of the
season the accountants of the club and i will
through wenger in there too cause to most of you he can do no wrong I love this club with all my heart and i can support no other club in football but to
see for 5
seasons we can't show any vast improvement and keep making the same mistakes every
year is hard to swallow it makes me sick but as wenger says judge me at the end i wonder what end he meant the end of the
season or the end of his contract GO ARSENAL......................
The Potters only have two
years of full Premiership experience under their belts and yet the vast majority
see them as an established Premier League club, a team with all the ingredients required for a successful, smooth ride
through a
season which will put every other club of similar stature and with the same limited funds
through their paces, and probably to the brink of Premiership exile.
«It's been 12
years since Ibra failed to net 10 or more league goals and we can't

As we've

through most of the
season.

One of my favorite aspects of leading monthly walks at Wave Hill,
year - round, on the second Sunday of every month, is
seeing a place as beautiful as this change
through the
seasons — the way the light looks so different on the Palisades on a clear winter day, compared to a hazy summer afternoon; the way the diverse plants of Wave Hill's gardens and forests reflect the
seasons in their shifting buds, leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds or bare stems.
