As a kid,
seeing haunted house movies or the haunted house episodes of television series was a treat, and still is.

I don't know if I can do a scary
movie again (
saw Don't Breathe and that was too much for me) or a
haunted house, but those sound like perfect bucket list items!

movie on Monday evening and what struck me most, and what I'm surprised you barely mention, is that for a
haunted house movie this
movie is JUST NOT SCARY!
But I was really looking forward to «The
Haunting» for many reasons: the actors (Liam Neeson, in particular), the story (I haven't
seen any of the other Hill
House movies, but my dad seems to like them and the plot intrigued me), and I was hoping for a
movie that would scare me by being subtle, psychological, and spontaneous, like the kind «ol Hitchcock made.
I love
Haunted House movies, and I've always wanted to
see one produced to the nines and with all the stops pulled out.

seen either A
Haunted House or those earlier Scary
Movies you know what to expect: a plethora of lewd and crude renditions of popular scenes based on notable horror film releases since the last flick.
I guess I have a weakness for ghosts and
haunted houses, but this
movie blew me away when I
saw it and it is still one of my favorite
haunted house movies of all time.
These days Wilson is more known for his creepy
haunted house horror
movies INSIDIOUS and THE CONJURING, but it would be refershing to
see him step away from the genre for once.
