The inner reef is best for
seeing juvenile fish and crabs, where the outer reef is best for seeing eels, lobsters, manta rays and turtles.

Juveniles lose the bright, plankton - filtering gills
seen on this individual when they mature and descend into some of the deepest depths of any known
fish, often more than 5,000 meters (16,000 feet) beneath the ocean surface.
Couple that with their propensity to eat a significant quantity of
juvenile fish, it's only a matter of time until those other
fish species start to
see a decline in their numbers on the reef.
Also this week we have
seen,
juvenile warty frog
fish, ribbon eels, garden eels, blue spotted sting rays, scorpion leaf
fish, pigmy seahorse, barracuda, loads of schooling banner
fish (which is a good sign for the Mola Molas) scorpion
fish, stone
fish and
juvenile angel
fish!
Apart from the mantas we
saw a few giant frogfish, cuttlefish, giant trevally,
juvenile silver sweetlip, turtles, bamboo sharks and many other big and small reef
fish in every color of the rainbow.
While the vast numbers of
fish you will
see outside the reef are missing, it more than makes up for it with a variety of
juvenile fishes and hard and soft corals.
You will also
see magnificent elk horns, sea whips and sea rods that make good protection for the
juvenile fishes.
Divers can
see juvenile drum
fish, barracudas, eagle rays, and sting rays.
The shallow reefs on the way back also make a good 25ft stop to
see an abundant amount of colorful
juvenile fish.
By the entrance you can
see amongst many sea creatures tons of
juvenile fish, octopus, soft sponges and sea fans.
You can expect to
see a variety of
juvenile fish, blue tangs, parrotfish, various snapper and grunts swimming among the sea fans.
We
saw 5 wobbegong sharks,
Juvenile Batfish and big school of Baraccudas not mentioning huge number of fusiliers
fish in the blue and thousands of colourful reef
fish.
The lagoon is not exactly a marine reserve, but it's had a raui declared — a kind of local no - take moratorium — for almost a decade and that makes it the best spot inside the lagoon to
see many species of
juvenile and adult
fish in increasing numbers.
We
saw 5 wobbegong sharks, black tip shark, school of spade
fish, moray eel,
juvenile spade
fish and napoleon wrasse.
